“Rachael some one is here to see Mr. Lorraine” Liliana another staff working here said behind me as I say in the movie room trying to watch something.

“He isn’t around,” I say and the look on her face told me it wasn’t a pleasant visitor. “Let the person in here,” I say and she shakes her head.

“Mr. Lorraine doesn’t allow anyone in here,” she said talking about the room so I decided to go see who that was. If my guesses were right it should be Nichole or Mrs. Lorraine.

I see Nichole stand there with a fake smile on her face.

“Rachel,” she said to me as if we had been long friends uniting with each other.

“Noah isn’t around,” I say making myself comfortable on the single chair in the room.

“I know I came to see you,” she said sitting down also.

“Me?” I ask having an ill feeling about her.

“Of course yes,” she said smiling as if we were actually on good terms.

“So what did you come to find out?” I ask rudely but with a person like this, you won’t want to use manners because it may not work.

“Don’t be rude” she pouted and I just frowned. “Well since Emila sees me as a family I’m part of this family so we have to get along and share Noah,” she said sharing Noah as if we were whores and we had to share a man for pleasure.

“I don’t follow where this is leading to,” I say just wanting to be anywhere else but here. I could even dance than be here talking to my husband’s ex.

“Noah and I have been best friends even before we started dating. We were a trio. Noah, Jaden, and I” she asked and I just looked away.

“Why are you telling me this?” I ask her even though her true intentions aren’t entirely hidden in her words. She doesn’t want to lose Noah neither does she want to let go of Jaden. She wants to play them both.

“Because even if we are no longer together I don’t want to lose the friendship I had with Noah because it was a very special friendship.

“You don’t have to tell me that you can say that to him,” I say when I see Noah come in with a tired expression on his face. “You can talk I’m going in,” I say mostly because I want to avoid Noah. He was just being so annoying and I don’t think I have enough patience for him right now.

I stop at the kitchen to tell someone to bring my dinner for me and then I go upstairs. I lock the door.

A knock on my door brings me back from the sleep that was already brewing in my eyes. I’m not in the mood to eat but for the baby. Everything I have been doing these days isn’t for myself but for my baby. I already have love growing for the unborn child.

I open the door foolishly without asking who is there. I know it is a foolish decision when I see Noah standing there with a tray in his hands. I proceed to collect the tray and look for a way to throw him out but he pulls the tray away.

I know I can’t collect this tray from him and I want to lock the door but his shoe stopped the door from going shut.

“Can I have my food?” I force myself to talk seeing that he is not ready to leave yet.

“Yes,” he said and I wanted to collect it again but he withdrew the tray. “If you let me come in,” he said adding the condition at the end.

“Then leave already,” I say trying to close the door but he repeated his earlier actions.

“Are you mad at me?” he asked and I could not just believe my ears. Was he asking me that after he pissed me off yesterday?

“No Noah, I just want to eat and then go to bed,” I say trying again with the tray. This time my hand landed on the tray before he could register I pulled it out of his grip. He tried to come in but I held my hand up to stop him.

“I’m sure you had a very long day so why not go to bed now” I say trying to sound as rude as possible.

“Rachael I’m sorry about yesterday,” he said and I looked at him.

“Why were you an ass yesterday?” I ask him and he looks away.

“My issues,” he said meekly. “Just come to the room” he added.

“I think we better stay in separate rooms for now until we know each other and we are sure we want to trust and stay together,” I say and he doesn’t look too pleased with it not he accepts anyway.

“Hope you don’t mind Nichole staying here for a few days. She is having her apartment renovated” he said and the nerve of the girl going as far as possible to live in his house right now when we aren’t exactly together.

“What about her parent’s house?” I ask so because any normal human would run to your parents when you are in trouble first. “Or any siblings? Or even any female friends? Or just any relative?” I ask.

“Her parents don’t live in this town and she is the only child and a socially awkward person,” he said for a person like her she doesn’t feel too awkward socially.

“I think she is rude to impose on newlyweds,” I say and he scoffs.

“She is an extremely good friend of mine and she helps me without complaining so I have to help her,” he says and I just scoff too.

“Noah, it’s your house do whatever you want you don’t need my opinion anyway because it seems like you’ve made up your mind. Good night” I say before closing the door and going to drop the food on my table before going back to lock the door.

He is still in love with her and here I was already liking him more than a friend. He will always love her but think of me as a big arrangement to help me.
