Kiss My Revenge The Heiress Strikes Back

Chapter 367

"How's Virell doing lately?" he asked with a lazy drawl in his voice.

The assistant in front replied respectfully, "Not much has changed, except there was a big spat when Ms. Lancaster arrived. She had quite a clash with Hugo and his group. But strangely enough, they seem to have patched things up quickly. Now, Hugo and his crew can't seem to leave her alone."

Sebastian remained impassive. "Is that so? And what about him?"

"No word from Mr. Ashcroft. The Ashcroft Group's assets in Zephra have been handed to another branch of the Ashcroft family. Ever since Mr. Ashcroft left Zephra two months ago, there's been no trace of him."

By this time, Sebastian had finished cleaning his glasses and placed them back on his nose.

"Then there's no need to investigate further," he said nonchalantly.

"Understood," the assistant answered, nodding.

With his glasses back on, Sebastian looked every bit the picture of refined elegance.

He knew that if there was no trace of Elian, it meant he had returned to his own place one that no one could find, no matter the method.

There was one thing, however, that Sebastian couldn't help but admire about him. Over the years, the guy had really made a name for himself in the business world.

That fellow was no ordinary character. It seemed that whatever he set his mind to, he excelled in. This made Sebastian a touch envious.

"Let's head back to the estate."

"Alright."

"Seems like all the food stands outside have been cleared out," Jo said, pulling back the curtain to glance out at the estate grounds.

Miranda, who was sitting in the living room with a book, looked up at his comment and glanced outside. "Good riddance. Watching them every day was tiresome."

Mia and Cecilia, who were arranging flowers nearby, chimed in as they heard Miranda's reply.noveldrama

Mia said, "No wonder Crystal said their food was awful. I bought some hog dogs yesterday, and not only was it bad, it had me running to the toilet all night."

Cecilia chuckled briefly. "I don't think they were here to sell food. More like they were watching our estate."

Although Cecilia was a gardener, her floral arrangements were nothing short of artistry. Since her arrival, the place had been adorned with beautiful plant decorations everywhere.

"Jo suggests they might be here to protect Miss," Mia uttered, grinning. "But hey, we can protect her too."

They had all grown comfortable around Miranda, no longer as stiff as when they first arrived. Sometimes, they'd even joke with her.

They were all truly professionals—not just skilled, but they did everything with flair.

Miranda wasn't harsh with them either and often treated them as equals rather than subordinates. It was clear that Jo, Mia, and Cecilia had developed a loyalty to Miranda that was different from when they first met her.

Initially, their loyalty was due to her status and their contracts. Now, it was more about their respect for her as a person. Especially Mia, who now talked more often about Miranda.

Even though Crystal's arrival meant they had another figure to answer to, Miranda

was the only one who could truly command them in certain matters.

Miranda raised an eyebrow but didn't doubt Mia's claim. These folks had a side she wasn't fully aware of. They had all evaded capture at the borders, each likely involved in some murder cases. None of them were simple characters.
