Chapter 29 Getting Better At Flirting With Him

Maggie’s gown was a pure white, devoid of any diamonds, beads, or lace. The most captivating detail was the ingeniously crafted shoulder sleeves. One side stood stiffly, forming a semi–round shape that wrapped around her shoulder.

On the other side, her shoulder was left bare, with the sleeve extending to her elbow. It was cut and sewn from stiff gauze into the shape of petals, resembling white peony petals or feathers.

The waist was designed to hug her hips, accentuating her perfect curves. The skirt was shorter in the front and longer in the back, about twenty centimeters longer. It beautifully resembled the tail of a swan.

The gown was simple and elegant, with minimal decoration. It relied solely on the natural luster of the fabric, yet it looked dazzling.

“Take a picture of me,” Maggie said to the stylist with a smile.

She suddenly wanted to capture this moment and share it with Nathael.

In her previous life, when she married him, she was thin, disfigured, and blind. But didn’t he deserve to see the best version of her?

“Okay, it’s done, Ms. Adam.”

Maggie took her phone back and looked at the photos. The stylist couldn’t resist the temptation and took a few extra shots. Maggie liked them and thanked her, “They’re beautiful.

The stylist blushed and replied. “You’re more beautiful than any celebrity I’ve ever met.”

Her words were not flattery, but a simple fact.

Of course, Maggie was beautiful, but celebrities had professional styling and photography teams. Many of their images were tailored to their strengths and weaknesses. The post–production photos heavily relied on retouching and lighting.

That was not the case with Maggie.

She just stood there and looked stunningly beautiful without needing any specific pose or lighting.

Thank you. Your styling is also beautiful.”

Maggie smiled and selected a close–up half–body shot to send to Nathael’s WhatsApp.

She was about to send it, but then realized that she didn’t have Nathael’s WhatsApp. They had only been exchanging text messages all this time.

All right, she thought to herself, text messages would suffice.

Maggie spent a fortune to send a multimedia message and put away her phone.

Nathael was in a meeting reporting on the progress of various projects.

The man who occupied the center seat had a handsome face and a cold demeanor. His gaze was deep and unfathomable. It made even the seasoned veterans feel nervous under his scrutiny, causing them to tread carefully.

Suddenly, the sound of a phone notification broke the silence in the conference room, startling everyone.

All eyes turned to the man in the center, including the foreign executive who was in the middle of his report.

“Excuse me.” Nathael’s phone screen briefly lit up. He glanced at it and saw that it was a message from Maggie. He picked up his phone and checked the message.

A half–body photo of her appeared on the screen. She wore delicate makeup, her hair was styled up, and she was wearing an elegant white dress, reminiscent of a beautiful swan.

Nathael’s finger paused. His gaze lingered on the photo for a long time without saying a word.

After a while, he placed his phone back on the table and instructed, in a deep voice, ‘Continue.”

“Yes.”

The foreign language once again filled the room, but Nathael couldn’t help but think of the photo he had just seen. The look in his eyes darkened.

She was becoming better at captivating him.

The rising sun shone through the large French windows, enveloping the man and his entourage in a warm. glow.

Nathael was in a good mood. The atmosphere in the conference room became considerably more relaxed.

Just as Maggie put away her phone, Olivia walked in. “Maggie, how are the preparations?”

She stopped mid–sentence when her eyes fell on Maggie.

Olivia had always known that Maggie was stunningly beautiful, but every time she laid eyes on her, she couldn’t help but be captivated.

In fact, the Camerons had always treated Maggie well, hoping to secure a powerful marriage alliance for the family through her. With Maggie’s looks and family background, it wouldn’t be difficult.

They had plotted to send her to Nathael’s bed, hoping to win his favor. However, their attempts had proven fruitless, so they had to take a risk and use their foster daughter to demand an explanation from Nathach.

However, this would inevitably tarnish Maggie’s reputation in the future.

Olivia’s gaze fell upon Maggie’s fair and delicate cheek. Suddenly, her mood lifted, and she had a change. of heart.

beauty, it wouldn’t be impossible to find her another reputable family. They still had many options.

“Maggie, you are absolutely lovely! This set of jewelry suits you perfectly!” Olivia exclaimed sincerely, not afraid that Maggic would outshine her own daughter. After all, the more beautiful Maggie was, the more advantageous it would be for the family.

The banquet was about to commence. The guests were already arriving, one after another.

Maggie followed Olivia to greet the guests.

As they entered the banquet hall, they noticed Sierra there, dressed in a pale pink gown and surrounded by a few girls. She looked like a pampered princess, smiling brightly with a hint of arrogance and innocence.

In contrast. Sierra preferred a princess–like style. Her pink diamond dress was opulent and stunning. Her hair was styled in princess curls, and she wore a diamond necklace around her neck.

The centerpiece of the necklace was a bow on her neck. The most exquisite part was the two delicate.

delicate ribbon tied into a beautiful low gem, with two strands of diamonds hanging down like

butterflies on the strands, made of yellow diamonds, which were lifelike and extraordinarily vibrant.

“Sierra, is that the 4.5 million necklace from Terra & Co.? I believe it’s called ‘Whisper of the Fluttering Wings?” Someone’s gaze fell upon Sierra’s neck, and she couldn’t help but exclaim.

“Is this the one? How does it look? Isn’t it stunning?” Sierra wore a smug expression as she spoke and tilted her head slightly to allow others to get a better view of the necklace. Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.

It’s truly breathtaking! I heard that this precious item was recently auctioned off. I never expected it to end up in your possession. You must let me try it on later.”

“Yes, Sierra, your parents really spoil you.”

While some people were fond of Sierra, there were also others who disliked her. A woman in a blue gown glanced in their direction and sneered, “What’s the point of it being expensive? It’s gaudy. I think Maggie’s necklace is more beautiful.”

As the woman spoke, everyone turned their attention to Maggie.

When they saw Maggie, astonishment flickered in their eyes. Those who had just praised Sierra couldn’t help but exclaim, “Sierra, your sister is so stunning. She looks like a goddess!”

“Is her emerald necklace also expensive? It looks absolutely breathtaking!”

“Sierra, why didn’t you choose a green necklace? I think emeralds would make you look fairer, and they would suit you better than this.”

“Yeah, didn’t you get to choose first? Why didn’t you pick the more expensive one?”

Their words greatly upset Sierra, but she retorted, “Just wait. My sister spoils me the most. If I ask her, she will definitely give me that necklace.”
