Chapter 27
Chapter 27
Well, this must be how men always were.
They were just making these promises to blow his own horn.
Esther then slowly dozed off late at night.
Chris gazed at Esther's sound face and let out a rare smile.
He then went outside and made a call.
"Tiger, have you found any decent mansion?"
"Yes, Master. Cloud Bay, the most premium mansion on the East coast. It will be auctioned at the East
Coast Auction House in three days!"
"Great, set me up. I'm going to attend the auction then."
"Yes, Master!"
Chris then hung up the phone and let out a sweet smile.
"Esther, I promised that I will let you live a great life and I would for sure deliver it."
On the second day, everyone in the Jefferson family looked ghastly pale.
Jefferson Manor was sealed up and a dozen men in suit were standing in front of the gate.
Felix looked miserable, "Dad, our company has been up sealed up too and all our cars and mansions
have been confiscated. Our bank accounts have also been frozen. We've lost everything."
In just one night, the once prestigious Jefferson family was completely broken now.
The Jeffersons found it hard to accept the fact that they lost everything now.
Patrick protested with resignation, "Grandpa! Chris did this to us! Are we just going to let it go?"
Henry groaned, "Of course not! But first, we have got to figure out whether Chris is Lord Death or not."
Chris made quite an appearance last night with the tanks and helicopters.
They were taken aback.
Henry got no choice but to give in facing the gun of the five thousand soldiers.
If Chris was Lord Death, the Jefferson family would never get the chance to have revenge!
Henry glanced at Felix and asked, "I told you to investigate his background. Did you find anything?"
Felix immediately got serious, "Dad, I've found his identity. After Chris ran away from the wedding, he
joined the army and recently retired. He is not Lord Death and just a comrade to Lord Death."
Henry got pleased and instantly asked, "Are you sure?"
Felix clenched his teeth together, "Absolutely. I got the information from Susan, so it was true."
"Damn it."
"This piece of shit! That loser! How did he dare to make fun of us?"
The Jeffersons instantly got fierce.
They gnashed their teeth in anger thinking that Chris was the culprit of their downfall.
Henry looked fuming, "We will sure have our revenge. But sadly, we got nothing now …"
After Henry finished his words, the room was in dead silence.
The Jefferson family had lost everting now and what did they get to seek revenge?
Felix suddenly got enlightened, "Dad, did you forget Uncle Richard? His family has got quite a status in
Pinkerton. As long as he is in our favor, we can make a comeback."
Henry just sunk into silence and looked gloomy.
The Jefferson family in East Coast was just a branch of the Jefferson family in Pinkerton.
A few decades ago, Henry lost in a family feud and ran to in East Coast in the heat of the moment,
where he then built up the Jefferson family.
They hadn't gotten in touch with each other for decades.
Henry really couldn't bring himself to seek help from his brother, who was once his enemy!
Felix noticed Henry's hesitation and got anxious, "Dad, I knew that you had a beef with Uncle Ricard.
But look at us now! We are about to be homeless!"
"Yeah. Grandpa! Do you want us to end up in the streets?"
"Right. You can't be so confused now!" Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.
