Chapter 743: I Just Love Watching the Drama
This afternoon, Tina had arranged to meet Juliet at the film set. Tina and Jared arrived just as she finished filming for the day. The film set was no place for chatter. Their agent led them to a trailer and then excused himself. "Well, I never expected this-Juliet, you still have the nerve to hang around Miss Reed?" Before the trio could start their conversation, Kylie Lambert's sarcastic voice reached their ears.
Juliet's agent was blocked under the trailer by Robert, while Kylie, swaying her hips, climbed into the trailer, her captivating eyes sweeping over Jared. But the man only had eyes for Tina. Kylie's face changed slightly.
"Miss Reed, I thought you were more capable. But now, with such a ticking time bomb right before you and still providing her with resources, it seems Mr. Farrell isn't that important to you after all."
Tina sat in her chair, not even bothering to stand, and turned to Juliet.
"Who is this? Don't you have any rules on your set?"
Before Juliet could respond, Jared peeled a banana for Tina.
"The entertainment industry is full of such characters. With a face like hers, nothing she does is surprising."
Tina's ability to irritate others was strong, and now with Jared's support, even if Juliet didn't like Kylie Lambert, she couldn't help but secretly cheer for her demise.
Why did she have to come at this moment? Together, Tina and Jared were an unbeatable duo.
Kylie Lambert? She was nothing but trash!
Indeed, just as Jared finished speaking, Kylie's face turned a mix of red and purple, her eyes fiery.
"I did this for your own good, Miss Reed. If you don't appreciate it, fine, but how can you speak to me like that?"
"Don't you know that Juliet has always had feelings for Mr. Farrell?"
Tina tossed some trash into the bin and looked at her sideways. "So what?"
"Me, you... aren't you afraid that Mr. Farrell will be stolen by Juliet?!"
Kylie was almost spitting blood in frustration. Why did every encounter with this woman thwart her carefully laid plans? Wasn't she Jared Farrell's fiancée? Couldn't she hear that her own cousin liked her fiancé and not feel jealous? Tina was not only unjealous; she was curious.
"Uncle, would you be stolen by another woman?"
Seeing the sweat on her forehead, Jared stood up and turned on the air conditioner.
"What nonsense are you talking about? Tina, don't you know my heart yet?"
The man's eyes were deep and affectionate as he looked tenderly at Tina.
Juliet watched, rubbing her arms. How cheesy, Mr. Farrell, is this how you do romance? I never knew.
Kylie Lambert, frustrated, thought, why can't I ever win against them?!
"You, you guys!" Kylie gasped for breath, her chest heaving.
Suddenly a glint passed through her eyes, and as she let go of the trailer door frame, she staggered backward about to fall.
"Oh no, not this trick again!" Juliet's complaint slipped out before she could think.Ccontent © exclusive by Nô/vel(D)ra/ma.Org.
As she started to get up, Tina stopped her with a hand.
"Let her keep going."
"Tina! You don't know, last time she did this, she sent me trending. This woman's tactics are much stronger than those of Willow Ward!"
"It's okay, this is my favorite part."
Casually tossing a grape to Juliet, Tina leaned against Jared, her face completely unworried.
Meanwhile, Kylie Lambert tumbled down the trailer steps and rolled on the ground. Like before, Robert immediately rushed over, but before he could utter a word of blame, people had already gathered around. "What happened? How did Kylie fall from the trailer again?"
"Have these people arrived too quickly?" Kylie Lambert frowned, but as the atmosphere had been set, tears began to fall in line with the plan.
"Miss Reed, I'm trying to help you. I don't expect your gratitude, but why push me away? My foot has only just started to heal, and there are several days of shooting left."
"Miss Reed? Tina is here too?"
"Who is that man? He's so handsome!"
"That's Miss Tina's fiancé, the heir to the Farrell family. He comes from a notable background!"
"Ah? What's going on with Kylie then? Why would she say she's helping Miss Reed?"
Time had passed, and the entertainment industry was never short of gossip.
As people talked, they seemed to have forgotten the last time Kylie Lambert argued with Juliet.
Kylie Lambert's face turned pale as she met Tina's gaze, which was filled with anticipation for the drama unfolding.
A slow resentment began to rise within her!
"Miss Reed, I know that revealing your sister's feelings for Mr. Farrell last time made you feel embarrassed. But, I had no choice. I didn't want to see you kept in the dark, so I had to choose that method. You may not like me, which I understand, but how can you repay kindness with enmity?"
Having no other option, Kylie Lambert had to recount the previous incident.
Faces around her lit up with sudden realization.
All condemning eyes turned to Tina.
"That's too much! How could Miss Reed be such a person?!"
"Some people just pretend to be confused when they actually understand everything. Maybe she knew about Mr. Farrell and Juliet all along, but she couldn't say it because of her status as the fiancée."
"So, did Kylie ruin their plans? That still doesn't justify pushing Kylie away."
The voices of discussion grew louder.
Juliet was desperately anxious, trying several times to stand up and argue back, but Tina pulled her back each time. Kylie Lambert, just like last time, nestled in Robert's arms, her shoulders heaving as she cried in despair and sorrow.
It was a sight so sad that it moved all who heard and saw her.
Her innocent, harmless face, like that of a gentle rabbit, didn't need to speak to spark curiosity and escalate the atmosphere. "Are you full?" Jared saw Tina pat her stomach and asked with a smile, "Do you want me to get you something else?"
Tina shook her head, seemingly indifferent to the criticisms around her.
"No, I'm still hungry."
She rubbed her stomach, "It seems I can't watch this drama anymore."
It was torture for her to watch the play on an empty stomach.
She patted her hands and then Jared's shoulder, "Let's go."
The couple casually walked down from the trailer, and with a glance, Tina's eyes swept indifferently over Kylie Lambert.
"You just said, I pushed you?"
Kylie Lambert, confused about what Tina intended to do, bit her lip and nodded.
"What do you mean? If no one had pushed me, are you suggesting I rolled down on my own?"
Tina smiled slightly, "Well, that settles it then. Hayden!"
"Here I come, Serena, I've got your stuff!"
Hayden emerged from nowhere, carrying a black device and holding a scanner-like probe in his hand.
As people recognized him with Tina, they stepped aside to let him through.
Hayden quickened his pace, "Serena, I went to great lengths to get this from the office. It's the latest fingerprint scanner. So, whose are we checking?"
