Chapter 21 Is Ms. Rowan Unwell?
“Dr. Deleon.” Donny helped Mae sit down on the hospital bed. “This lady’s back is hurt, please take a
look”
“Hey, this is neurosurgery, not the orthopedic department. Why are you acting like your boss...” George
Deleon complained after quickly hung up the phone, “Who’s relative is this lady?”
“She’s Ms. Rowan’s maid.”
Donny pointed to Clara, who was next to him, and then quickly walked up to George and whispered a
few words to him.
George looked up at Clara with a face full of surprise.
Clara felt a little scared by this Dr. Deleon.
Rubbing her arms, she politely asked, “Dr. Deleon, could you check on my friend.”
“Okay, who wouldn’t help when someone so beautiful asks? “ George answered with a grin. He
stopped looking at her with his probing eyes, put on medical gloves, and checked Mae.
He gently pressed on Mae’s lower back a few times until he heard a slight click and Mae’s back
straightened.
Mae stood up and walked a few steps, surprised, “My back doesn’t hurt anymore. You young man are
quite good.”
“That’s because you can’t be a doctor without any skills.” George went to the computer to prescribe
medicine while at the same time chatting with Mae. In a few minutes they had become acquainted, and
he had coaxed a smile out of her.
Clara was a little speechless.
She didn’t think George looked like a doctor at all, but rather like the most popular male host in a
nightclub.
After leaving the office together, George smiled and said, “Mae, you can go down with this man to get
the medicine. I have some business with Ms. Rowan.”
“It’s okay, you young people go ahead and talk, I can go back by myself.” Mae laughed; her eyes
looked at George like an old mother looking at her son-in-law.
She also pulled Clara close and whispered, “Miss, this doctor is not bad. Think about it.”
“Mae......” Clara didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.
The wound Steve had given her had already made ashes of her heart. Marring Ethan was only in order
to have him help her take revenge. She didn’t have the time to consider other possibilities.
After Donny and Mae had left, Clara looked at George, “Dr. Deleon, what do you need me for?”
“Smart.” George snapped his fingers and led her to the blood test department. “Donny said that Ethan
wanted to marry you. Since you happened to come, I’ll take you to get your blood drawn to check your
physical condition. Do you mind?”
“I don’t mind.” Clara shook her head, and pursed her lower lip, “But can it be you who draws my
blood?”
George pretended to be curious and asked, “Is Ms. Rowan in poor health?”
“No, my blood type is rare, and I also have... a coagulation disorder. “ After hesitating for a while, Clara
continued, “I don’t want anyone in the hospital to know about my blood type. “
She was afraid that if some doctors knew about it, they would have her test medicines.
“What?” George suddenly turned her head to look at Clara with a somewhat grave expression. “Your
coagulation ability isn’t good?”
Clara Rowan nodded, feeling that his expression was off, “Well, what’s the matter?”
He fiddled with the coins in his hands, his expression becoming increasingly solemn.
When he had gone to Preston Village that time, he had only briefly checked Clara, but he didn’t
expect......
After arriving at the blood test department, George went in and talked to a colleague. Then he
personally helped Clara collect blood and put it into the blood analyzer. Reаd at

and left, taking out his phone from his pocket.
Clara sat and waited for a while, feeling a little thirsty.
She wanted to go to the water dispenser to pick up a glass of water, but before she could get up, she
heard a familiar female voice say, “Baby it’s okay. Mommy will bring you back after you’ve got your
blood drawn.”
Clara followed the voice and saw a woman carrying a little boy to get his blood tested.
Even though she wore a mask and a hat to cover herself, Clara could still recognize Ruby’s figure in a
glance.
