Mamie and Caley locked eyes on Scales, making him feel a tad uncomfortable under their intense gaze. Scratching his head, Scales muttered, "Why are you guys staring at me like that?"

Roseanne chimed in, "I remember you mentioned last time that your parents are... civil servants, right?"

It was clear that these were no ordinary "civil servants."

She left it at that, not prying any further.
