Chapter 594 Blood Bag
Chapter 594 Blood Bag
Damien answered the call on the corridor outside the conference room on the tenth floor of the New
East Corporation.
“What’s up?” Damien asked.
“Oh, I found someone to look after my mom, but she won’t be here until two or three in the afternoon. I
don’t really feel comfortable leaving my mom at home alone, but I have to go to class. If you don’t mind,
can you help me?” Clarissa said. Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g
“Are you going to class now?” Damien asked her meaningfully. He wondered why she was going to
class right after the surgery.
“The operation now… Don’t you know I’ll be discharged the next day?”
Damien looked at his watch and answered, “Okay.”
Damien no longer teased Clarissa. He was very obedient to her, and was willing to accept all her
requests as if he was atoning for his sins. He owed it to her, after all.
After the call, Damien went back to his office and packed his things.
“That’s all for today’s meeting. I have an emergency,” Damien said as he prepared to leave. “We’ll
continue tomorrow.”
Ray sent him a message.
Ray: [Did something happen?]
Damien: [I’m going to be a helper.]
Ray: [For who? Clarissa?]
Damien: [Who else but her?]
Ray laughed when he saw Damien’s reply. ‘You deserved it!’
When Damien arrived at Clarissa’s house, Clarissa was already dressed and ready to leave.
Clarissa dressed in a white silk shirt and cream-colored pants. She carried a coffee-colored coat on her
arm, and looked very charming with light makeup and bright lipstick.
Damien’s body stiffened when he saw her beautiful appearance.
“I’ll leave my mom in your care. Thanks so much,” Clarissa said kindly. “I have a day of classes today.
Can you cook lunch for my mom?”
“Sure,” Damien said in a muffled voice.
Clarissa gave him a sweet smile before turning to leave.
When Clarissa was walking around the campus, she saw a familiar figure. Judging from the man’s
back, it looked a lot like her brother.
Clarissa tapped him on the shoulder, knowing that it was definitely Luke. Plus, his pocket was bulging.
“What are you doing here?” Clarissa asked Luke.
Luke looked at Clarissa carefully.
“The smartest girl in our family is here in Genovia? Why didn’t you tell me you’re here? Are you trying
to treat me like an outsider, or have you become arrogant?” Luke said mockingly to Clarissa.
Clarissa noticed that Luke was dressed differently. He looked decent, and carried a slightly different
aura around him.
“Are you making money?” Clarissa asked him.
“Do you want to borrow money?” Luke asked Clarissa arrogantly.
“Borrow money from you? The interest rate would kill me! Anyway, what are you doing at the University
of Genovia?” Clarissa was puzzled by Luke’s sudden visit to the university.
“It’s none of your business!” Luke hissed.
Clarissa was annoyed. ‘I can’t care, and I don’t care either.’
When she was about to walk away, she saw Hannah Jenkins coming from a distance.
Clarissa was curious. ‘Did Luke get into trouble with Hannah? You don’t want to mess with a woman
like her!’
“Get out of the way!” Luke chased Clarissa away impatiently. He shoved Clarissa away with one hand
and took a bag from his pocket, and let the bag burst on his head.
It turned out to be a blood bag.
Luke lay on the ground and acted like he was in pain, moaning piteously, “Ouch, ouch!” Then he hissed
at Clarissa again, “Hurry up and go! Leave! Go, go!”
Clarissa shook her head. ‘Luke hasn’t matured even after so many years. He’s still so childish. He’s
already in his thirties, but he’s still using such a silly trick that can be seen through easily.’
Hannah came over and looked a little embarrassed when she saw Clarissa. She only glanced at Luke
on the ground a few times before walking away with disinterest.
Clarissa stared at Hannah, and fell in a deep thought. She wondered why some women loved seducing
men so much. Hannah just had an affair with Howard, and now, she was trying to catch Luke’s heart.
When Luke saw Hannah walking over, he quickly took out another blood bag from his pocket.
Unfortunately, Clarissa moved quicker and grabbed it before he could do anything, and slipped the
blood bag in her own bag.
