Love Of Wind And Clouds

Chapter 26

Time gradually turned to afternoon and then it was time to get off work. Nancy took the bus to the supermarket, then went in to buy some food and a lock before going home.

While cooking, the image of Dylan kept appearing in her mind, but she thought maybe two weeks ago he often visited her house so she unconsciously formed a habit.

After finishing eating, Nancy went to her room and continued to research Global Group’s documents as a basis for organizing year-end events.

Although she heard rumors that the corporation had been operating for a long time and had changed its name, the documents did not clearly state what company it was formerly.

According to records, Global Group was established only five years ago.

Nancy admires Dylan greatly. He must be very good to have made the corporation grow so rapidly in just five years. But because he was so perfect, it made her want to stay away from him even more.

Nancy was so engrossed in her work that when she closed the computer, the clock struck ten o’clock at night. She gently pushed the door open and walked out to the balcony.

The snow stopped falling today. The night wind blew her loose hair across her bare shoulders.

Nancy looked out into the vast space, where the buildings were still glowing with electric light. From a distance, they sparkled like a tower of stars, making her feel a little sad.

She did not know that in front of the gate there was a person smiling and looking at her.

It wasn’t until she was about to go back inside that she suddenly looked down.

When she saw Dylan’s eyes directed towards her, she immediately felt a chill run down her spine so she quickly jumped inside, closed the door, and pulled the curtain, leaving that lonely man alone.

The night was quiet, the rose bushes on the balcony had long since withered. Dylan heard his heart painfully calling Nancy’s name.

Her image on the balcony just now lingered in his mind. Although it was very difficult, he tried to convince himself not to drink anymore because the girl he loved did not like him drinking too much alcohol.Nôvel(D)rama.Org's content.

In the morning in the living room of Daniel’s house, Emery held a steaming cup of coffee and took a sip, eyes glued to the newspaper.

When he heard his son’s footsteps, he immediately called out but did not look up.

“What’s wrong, dad?” Daniel asked with wide eyes.

“How’s your work going?”

“I’m filming a movie and taking advertising photos for some big brands.”

“Finish everything and then go back, don’t continue working in the entertainment industry anymore. Dad wants to rest. Don’t forget our agreement, one is that you return, and two is that all this inheritance will be used for charity.”

“Yes, I know, Dad, I’m leaving.” Daniel bowed his head and replied softly.

Today, Daniel had no filming schedule, so he drove straight to where Rosalind was filming a commercial and stood watching her from afar.

He loved Rosalind from the first time they met because she was so beautiful.

This time, the most famous cosmetics brand in the country invited Rosalind to be their brand ambassador because her face with flawless white skin fits their requirements very well.

Her top beauty makes her stand out in every frame.

Rosalind acted for a while then realized Daniel was looking at her. Even though she didn’t want to, she nodded slightly to greet him.

At noon, the whole crew ate together, while Rosalind followed Daniel out to eat. He came here and made an invitation so she couldn’t refuse.

As soon as they entered the restaurant door, both of them coincidentally met Lyle who also walked in.

Rosalind and Daniel both wore masks and hats, so no one recognized them. If Rosalind hadn’t taken the initiative to say hello, even Lyle wouldn’t have recognized her.

“Lyle, are you having lunch here?” Rosalind asked softly.

“Yes, I have meals with customers.” Lyle replied, his eyes looking over at Daniel.

“Hello, Deputy General Director.” Daniel immediately spoke up when he saw Lyle looking at him.

“Hello, young master.”

Just as Lyle finished speaking, the customer group of Global Group also arrived. He politely said goodbye to Rosalind and Daniel and quickly left with them.

Rosalind and Daniel also quickly followed the waiter to check into the dining room.

Daniel noticed that Rosalind’s appearance was not good, a worried look was visible on her delicate face.

Throughout the meal, she kept feeling restless. Right when Daniel went to wash his hands, she quickly took out her phone and texted Lyle. When Daniel returned, she used the excuse of having to go to the bathroom to leave.

“What do you need to tell me?” Lyle approached Rosalind and asked.

“Ah, Lyle, don’t tell Dylan about me going out to eat with Daniel today.” Rosalind opened her eyes wide and looked at the person opposite, pleading.

“Going out to eat together is very normal. I’m not a gossipy person.”

“That’s not what I meant.”

“Okay, I have to go. Wish you a good appetite.”

After saying that, Lyle walked back to the dining room. There was an uncomfortable atmosphere surrounding the place he passed and the place where Rosalind set foot. And even in the employee cafeteria of Global Group.

At first, Nancy was having a delicious meal with Stephen when Dylan suddenly appeared, and Paul was also standing next to him.

Everyone knew that Paul was the president’s assistant, so when they looked at Dylan, they were suspicious and gossiped, making Nancy feel like she was about to suffocate.

“Dylan, are you in economy mode?” Stephen asked in surprise.

“I think in the future I should come here often and have meals with the staff to strengthen the relationship between colleagues. I learn from you.” Dylan said while looking at Nancy.

Paul and Nancy let their bosses talk and just focused on eating.
