Love's Rebirth Another Chance at Forever (Madeline and Andrew)

Love’ss 31

Madelyn sat by the bed and didn't move an inch.

Andrew opened his bloodshot eyes, and there was a hungry, animalistic look in them as if he were about to pull her over to him." Why don't you come and sleep with me?" She shook her head. "No, you should sleep on your own."

Images from what had happened on the way home last night flashed through her mind. How could she get into bed with him? She was not going to serve herself up on a platter. Andrew gazed intensely at her. "I can't sleep with you here."

"Hurry up and go to sleep. I'll go to the kitchen to see if there are any desserts." Madelyn got up and made her escape.

There was a gentle look in Andrew's eyes as he watched her run off happily.

The moment the door closed, the look in his eyes turned ferocious, like when he was in the study. He picked up his phone and dialed a

number.

When Madelyn got downstairs, she saw one of the kitchen staff carrying a container of food and making a report to David. David did not look happy.

Madelyn immediately recognized the food as the pork chops that Elena had sent over.

"What's going on?" She went over to them.

David took the container of food from the kitchen staff and gave it to Madelyn. "Mrs. Miller, did you make these?"

Madelyn glanced at the pork chops. Although they had been stored in the fridge to keep them fresh, there was already a layer of mold on them. What was that?

Madelyn shook her head. "I can't cook."

Although she didn't cook often, she could tell that there was something strange about the pork chops.

David asked, "Did someone send these over?"

"Yes. Is there something wrong with them?"Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.

"There might have been some kind of drug added to these pork chops. while they were being cooked."

"Drugs?" Madelyn was shocked.

She suddenly thought about how she and Andrew had always eaten. whatever Elena sent over at once, except for this time. Her heart wrenched painfully.

David nodded seriously. "Usually, when food grows moldy, it's white. This green mold doesn't look right at all."

David was a very professional butler, and he knew quite a lot about food too. There was definitely something wrong with the container of pork chops.

Madelyn's chest heaved. She had completely forgotten about all of this while she had been busy trying to salvage her relationships.

It seemed that Elena hadn't just been putting her tongue to good use. Who knew how many little schemes she had been running in secret?

Madelyn's breathing was unsteady as she said, "Send these pork chops for chemical analysis at once. We'll see what's been put in it."

David nodded. "Okay."

Madelyn stood on the spot, her emotions in turmoil. She thought about how Andrew's health had taken a sudden turn for the worse after he saved her in their past life. Had it been Elena behind it? What had she put in their food?

At the time, George hadn't been fired, which would have made it even easier for Elena to do whatever she wanted.

Madelyn felt her chest hurt. She hoped that they had found out in time in this life and that there wouldn't be any problems.

Just then, Carrie called. "I'm going to put them through hell today. You'll be able to relax for a while."

"Really?"

"It's already trending. Go and have a look and put yourself in a good. mood."

Dealing with an adulterous couple like Easton and Elena gave Carrie a sense of satisfaction. She enjoyed exposing their ugly deeds to the public.

Madelyn hung up and checked the trending topics. The first topic she saw was: "The Garcias' Eldest Heiress Suspected of Being A Player!"
