Chapter-77: My confession
"So you are saying that there is some mole in the Dark Walkers?" Ashina asked Lyceon, leaning back on the chair.
Lyceon rolled the pen in his fingers starting at the space in deep reverie, sitting on his chair stiffly. He had gathered them again in the morning in his office for this conversation.
"There is a high chance but I don't have a particular one in my mind right now. He or she must be somewhere among and around us who is providing confidential information to the Vampires. Otherwise who would dare to invade our property and too in our absence?"
"But.. Allison also tried to escape. Maybe they stalked her or she shared her plan with someone. Like her dear ones and it got leaked." Rebecca commented looking at Allison who pressed her lips.
"I wasn't really escaping. And about our plan only me, Nora and Naomi knew. Why would any of them share something with the vampires? It was only our plan. And we were going to find Mason after that." She tried to give a reason for her almost-escaping plan. Mason looked at her and patted her hand to put her at ease and gave a look to Rebecca which indicated her to stop targeting his sister. She averted her gaze nonchalantly.
"Maybe they had been taking tabs on your friend's activities then? We can't just underestimate Keir's cunningness. He is a real bastard." Ashina pointed out.
Allison blinked. "But Nora and Naomi were sent to their relatives as Noah informed us. We can't learn anything from them."
"Did you check upon them, Ali?" Aztec asked almost immediately. He still had hopes that any of them could be his mate.
"I tried calling them but they are out of reach. I hope they are fine." She mumbled the last part, fearing for their well-being. "Find about them, Aztec." Lyceon ordered him, seeing Allison's unknown fear.
"On it!" Aztec replied.
"So what's next? Basically we can't leave Allison alone now as they would try again to get her. Before they could attack us we need to be prepared and do a surprise attack on them instead." Ashina suggested.
"Any of us needs to be with her all the time and be vigilant around others. The traitor could be anyone. The time is coming near, we need to finish this once and for all. Allison will stay with me for a few days until I find out about this traitor. I can't take any risk with her safety." Lyceon stated and Allison lowered her eyes, his last statement was still ringing in her ears and her heart suddenly escalated recalling his confession. He loved her. Her mate loved her. Since then she had been trying to avoid him whenever she spotted him anywhere.
It was getting too much for her so she wanted space to absorb her newly found emotions and the things happening lately.
"That will be fine. I asked Felicia to find out about Minna in the Northern side. It's important for us to know if she is still alive so that we can get to know some vital parts about her and the prophecy. I hope she survived." Ashina muttered and got up from her seat.
"If that's all, then I am leaving for the academy. I hope Allison could join me next week. It's important for her to take a few lessons as we now know that her powers have emerged. So she had to master them.!"
Allison's ears perked up hearing this.
"I can join you even now...."
"NO."
Allison snapped her head in his direction. Lyceon glared at his sister who raised her brows at him with ridicule.
"So now you will control her, ground her in the mansion? Seriously Lyceon?" she remarked. Rebecca rolled her eyes at both of them before standing up.
"I'm gonna sleep, you guys carry on!" she was about to walk out when Mason muttered to her, "expect me in your room in a minute." She snapped her head to look at him but he kept staring ahead at others. Rebecca moved her jaws with sharp eyes and left anyway.
"Iam not fucking controlling her, Ashi. Don't you calculate the situation right now? Her going outside the Kingdom is not safe right now. And you too, be careful." Lyceon pinned her with a hard look ignoring others.
"Don't worry about me! I am quite eager to see that bastard anyway. See you later." she waved them bye before walking out of the room.
"Won't you have breakfast?" Aztec yelled behind her, following her out of the room.
"I need to catch up with Cia." Ashina yelled back. Mason signed and exchanged a look between Lyceon and Allison. He thought of giving them privacy. This is property © of NôvelDrama.Org.
"I guess I need to catch up with my mate too." He announced and nodded at Lyceon before he left them alone.
Allison fidgeted with her fingers, getting uncomfortable under his gaze. She also thought of escaping.
"I...I will go to Bonnie. She wanted to talk to me." She said and practically raced to the door but before she could open it fully, it was slammed back roughly. Allison jumped in her place and looked around to meet Lyceon's hard eyes. "What is it?" He asked, stepping near her but she stepped back, tucking her hair behind her ear. She shook her head without saying anything.
"Until you don't tell me what's wrong with you, you are not allowed to leave this room, Angel. What's up with this behaviour? Are you avoiding me?" He arched his eyebrow and Allison immediately whipped her head up with widened eyes. "No!"
"Then why do you run away whenever I come close to you? Is there any problem?" He asked her, cornering to the wall and levelled his eyes on her.
Allison bit her lower lip, unable to answer him. Lyceon cupped her face and raised it to look into her gorgeous orbs. He held her gaze.
"Is it because of my confession a day before?"
Allison blinked back, her heartbeat running wildly against her chest which Lyceon could literally hear. She nodded slowly indicating that it was the reason.
