MAKE YOU MINE

“Besides, he didn’t have a big problem with it when he did the same thing to a few companies back in the day.” Dimitri added

That wasn’t true, Kelly thought and shook her head. Her father wouldn’t do such a thing to anyone.

“You’re lying,” she said adamantly.

“Oh am I?” Dimitri asked, and pulled a bottle of wine and glasses from his drawer. After he had poured them both a drink, he offered her one, which she refused to accept.

Kelly needed a drink, but she shook her head. She wasn’t here to share a drink with him. Unspeakable things seemed to happen whenever she was around this man… Amazing things that made her body tingle all over, she thought, remembering the minutes she had just spent in his arms.

Whenever she was with him she was wild, crazy and all her inhibitions seemed to be lowered. She didn’t want to find out what she would do if she was drunk in a room with him…

“Your father has helped to bring down other companies for his own personal gain” Dimitri continued, “You can ask him about it. He’s just cranky because this time, it’s his company on the line”

Kelly thought for a while, but she wasn’t going to side against her own father, especially when she hadn’t talked to him. And it still didn’t change the fact that this company belonged to her family. It belonged to her. It was a way for her to finally get some time to get closer to her father… And she wasn’t going to let anyone ruin that. No matter how hot they were, or how much she wanted them.

“I still don’t care” she replied finally, “But you have to stop what you are doing, Dimitri. My dad isn’t someone you can just mess with…. And neither am I”

She had no idea what she was going to do, Kelly thought. And she was actually very worried, but there was no way in hell that she was going to let him know that. The last thing she wanted was to see him gloat. So she turned and began to walk out of his office.

Dimitri had no chance to make any reply as he watched Kelly walk away. He sighed heavily as he relaxed in his chair and looked up at the ceiling.Text © owned by NôvelDrama.Org.

As much as he liked that lady, his mind was made up about Darcy Enterprises. He had been planning this for a while now, and he wasn’t going to stupidcancel everything for her. No matter how much he wanted her, or how much he enjoyed being around her.

Kelly obviously wanted to forget what had happened between them, but there was no way Dimitri would ever be able to forget the way she had caught fire in his arms just now. Her ready response to the caress of his mouth and hands on her body. The tremors of her shuddering release.

Even if he wanted to, there was no way Dimitri could ever forget any of that…

Four days later, Kelly sat in her office, going through some files when her assistant, Nicole knocked on her door.

“Come in,” Kelly replied without lifting her head.

Nicole walked in, carrying a thin file which she handed to Kelly. Kelly took it and opened it. It contained a single paper….

Kelly frowned. She had a lot to do and didn’t have time for unnecessary distractions. “What’s this?” she asked Nicole, who was still standing in front of her desk.

“It’s a statement from Edward Franklin” Nicole replied, a worried expression on her face, “He is withdrawing.

He’s no longer investing in Darcy Enterprises. Apparently, he got a tip that the company is gonna fold up soon, and so he is no longer comfortable with investing because he doesn’t want to lose his money”

Kelly gasped as she looked from file to Nicole and then back to the file. She and her father had been counting on Edward’s investing in the company. It would have been a big help for them.

“I don’t think we need anyone to tell us where that so-called tip came from,” Nicole said.

Kelly nodded. She agreed with Nicole and she didn’t need anyone to tell her who the culprit was. After Nicole left she grabbed her suit jacket which she had draped on the head rest of her chair and put it on, then she marched out of her office, file in hand, and headed straight for Dimitri’s office.

His assistant, Cynthia saw her coming and tried to stop her, “I’m sorry, Miss Darcy, but Mr Collins doesn’t want to be disturbed…” she began, but Kelly was too angry to listen. She walked past Cynthia, and marched into Dimitri’s office without knocking, while Cynthia followed.

Dimitri’s head whipped up as soon as they came in. There was a huge frown on his face showing that he didn’t like that he had been interrupted, but Kelly didn’t mind one bit, and she returned his angry gaze.

“I’m sorry. I tried to tell her, Mr Collins” Cynthia said apologetically.

“It’s okay, Mrs Scott,” Dimitri said and waved his hands, signaling Cynthia to leave. When the door shut firmly behind her, he stared lazily at Kelly, waiting for her to speak.

“What the fuck, Dimitri” Kelly hissed, throwing all manners out the window in her anger.

Dimitri relaxed in his chair and grinned up at her, “I gotta say that I love hearing you use words like that. You’re always so… Contained. It’s good to see you let go once in a while” he said absently, watching with amusement as she glared at him and when he saw that he was making her angrier, so he stopped.

“Okay, what did I do this time Kelly?” he asked calmly.

Kelly threw the file she was holding on his desk. “Oh you know what you did all right, Dimitri, so you better don’t insult me by trying to deny it because you will only end up making me even angrier” she replied. “What the hell is that?”

She watched as Dimitri opened the file and scanned the content. He stared at it for a few seconds, and then he dropped the file carelessly on the table. When he lifted his eyes back to hers there was an unreadable expression on his face. Kelly waited for his reply.

“Looks like a statement from Edward Frank” he said simply.
