Marriage Like Candy

Chapter 9

Chapter 9

Cherry's hand froze in mid-gesture.She looked down at her mussed-up clothes and a self-mocking smile broke on her lips.

Right.

How could she wrongly think that Austin was worried about her? What he really cared about was the baby in her belly.

As for her, he probably didn't want to look at her.

Thinking of this, she no longer refused. Têxt © NôvelDrama.Org.

Putting on Austin's coat, she said coolly.

"I see.Thank you, Mr.Yanak."

"From next month onwards, go to St Andrew's Hospital for prenatal examination on the third day of every month."

Seeing his order carried out, Austin was satisfied and said coldly, "I’ve got everything set up.Don't forget."

Hearing his bossy tone, Cherry griped her clothes, but then she quickly bit her lower lip and answered, "Okay.Mr.Yanak, if you'll excuse me."

With that, she turned around and detached herself.

Austin looked at the seemingly petite woman. She was actually an iron hand in a velvet glove.

His gaze narrowed into a squint.

This woman left without the slightest hesitation.

It was rare to see a woman acting like this in front of him.

Austin watched the slender figure disappear at the end of the corridor.

Suddenly, there was a noise behind him.He followed the sound and caught a glimpse of someone hiding behind the pillar.

Austin recognized the shady character at once.

"George Mellis."

He put out the cigarette and said coldly, "Are you done watching the fun? Get out of here."

Hearing this, George walked out reluctantly.

"Austin."

He shrugged his shoulders and said snappishly, "You have excellent eyesight. How could you find me?!"

Austin darted an impatient look.

"What did you hear?"

"I heard everything." George blinked.

"For example...I heard this woman was carrying your child." Austin did not panic at all.

"Fine." He shoved his hands into his pockets and turned around.

"Keep your mouth shut."

George's sparkling eyes narrowed slightly.

"So Austin, is that woman really pregnant with your baby?"

"Yes." Austin strode out.

"Do you think I'm interested in raising someone else's child?"

"Wow! What a rare occurrence!"

George's eyes twinkled with excitement and he quickly followed Austin.

"It's been three years. You finally figured it out and touched another woman!"

Austin paused and his face turned gloomy.

"It was just an accident."

"An accident?"

Georg's eyes widened.

"If it was just an accident, why were you willing to let her give birth to this baby? More importantly, as far as I know, this woman is married, right? Stealing someone else's wife? Tsk, Austin, this is not you."

Austin did not answer and continued to walk out.

But George obviously didn't want to end this conversation.

He kept pace with him and questioned closely, "But Austin, aren't you morally wrong? How could you knock up a married woman? If her husband knows, won't she be regarded as a loose woman? Maybe she will have to get divorced! Isn't it a little selfish of you?"

Austin broke off.

"I don't care about what will happen to her."

A moment later, he spoke in a cruel manner.

"All I know is that the baby must be born."
