vere not for Pete’s timely rescue

Giving Lianne no attention, Pete disappeared into the dark of the night

Iven though Pete was gone, Lianne still had to resume her mission.

She looked around and walked cautiously in case another feral dog jumped on her

Thank goodness for her, danger did not stare her in the face again Lianne managed to purchase the

necessary sanitary product and returned to the hotel without a hitch

Lianne stepped into the hotel and met Dr Leah at the entrance of her room By the looks of it, Dr. Leah

had been waiting for a while

Di Leah was not part of the entourage on the trip to Weston either Yet, she was here.

The mother and son seemed to be everywhere without anybody noticing them.

Di Leah said with a smile, Zane is worried about your injury, so he told me to come along to check on

you

Lianne invited her into the room “Sorry for the trouble, Dr. Leah”

While examining Lianne’s wound, Dr Leah uttered, “We have your quick reflexes to thank for rescuing

need anything

Lianne asked. “When did you arrive, Di Leah?”

Dr Leah had a positive impression of Lianne when they first met With Lianne saving Zane’s life today,

the doctor no longer saw her as a stranger “Like my son, my job is to serve Zane. We go wherever

Zane

goes

Lianne got the message The mother and son were always with Zane Only, they stayed out of sight.

After redressing Lianne’s wound, Dr. Leah took notice of her purchase “Did you get your period?”

Lianne nodded “Yeah It came early

Dr. Leah mistook Lianne’s discolored face for the pain from her arm injury. The truth finally hit her 71

will take some getting used to since it’s your first time in the highlands You can expect irregularities in

your menstrual cycle I’ll prescribe something for the pain, but please keep an eye on the dosage

Lianne nodded. The grueling pain from her arm and belly had drained her energy to speak

Dr. Leah poured her a glass of water. Take the pill and get some rest. Come and see me if you don’t

feel good”

“Okay “Lianne swallowed the pill and listlessly slipped under the sheets with her hands over her

stomach

“Have a good rest” Dr. Leah tucked her in before leaving

Dr Leah exited Lianne’s room and faced the balcony to the right to say, “Lianne is doing fine. She

doesn’t

look too good, possibly due to the dog scare Not to mention, she’s having her period

Zane loomed from the darkness “Why should I know about my assistant’s menstrual cycle?

Dr. Leah replied, “My bad

To think, a certain somebody told Pete to follow Lianne when she left the hotel, looking pasty. The

same person even called and forced her out of her warm bed. Who was the guy fooling?

Zane uttered, Thank you for tonight.”

Dr. Leah responded, “Relax. I will watch over her until the morning light. She’ll be fine.”

Pete drew close and emotionlessly reported to Zane, “Mr. Atlas, I’ve determined that the villagers had

cleared a path with explosives, causing the landslide today. It was nothing against you.”

Without a word, Zane lit his cigarette and looked in the direction of Lianne’s room.
