Chapter 6025 - 6025, Dao Oath
Chapter 6025, Dao Oath
Author: Silavin
Yang Ji and Yang Xu looked at each other, puzzled by the sight. After all, the structure of this thatched house was really familiar. Although it was of a different colour, there was no mistaking it. This was almost a carbon copy of the small house their Uncle Eleven lives in.
Naturally, the twins were not dense enough to fail to notice that there must have been some background story to this. After all, were there really such coincidences in this world?
Mo Na Ye was respectful when he approached the thatched house. Even with someone of his strength, he would try his best to not make a sound. Even in front of the door, he would not knock. Instead, he would just kneel and wait for a response from inside. This is from NôvelDrama.Org.
Mo Na Ye knew that this was the courtesy expected of his kind in front of the Holy One. So, he did not expect the same from the kids. Yet, without him doing anything, Yang Xu took the lead and followed what he did, with Yang Ji also doing the same.
This one display made Mo Na Ye praise them in his heart. Though he knew Humans were sly, the gesture of them willingly kneeling to a potential enemy could not be taken lightly. At the very least, from what he remembers, Yang Kai, the Human he interacted with the most, was so prideful he would never kneel to anyone.
In truth, this was just a misconception which Yang Xu had made use of, which was more effective than she thought. After all, she and her Brother would kneel down whenever they got punished. How was this much of a difference?
Either way, for the twins, the wait was certainly not long. Almost as soon as their knees touched the ground, the door opened and a terrifying pressure emerged from within.
This pressure was incomparable to the one Mo Na Ye gave out. However, its aura also felt familiar at the same time.
A familiar child-like voice rang out, “Come in.”
“Yes.” Mo Na Ye placed his arm on his chest as he stood up, and the twins just followed along and walked behind him till they were inside of the thatched house.
The inside and outside were basically sights they had seen before. At this point, they were not even surprised. The only oddity, which caught their eye was what seemed to be another Uncle Eleven.
This ‘Uncle Eleven’ technically did not have feet, as his legs were attached to the ground. He was also completely black with a tint of purple. In terms of facial features and stature, he was basically the same as the one they knew.
Mo spoke up, welcoming his guests. “Welcome to my humble abode. It has been awhile since I last saw Humans.”
The Mo that they were speaking to seemed to have matured a lot compared to stories they heard of him. At least, he was far from what their Uncle Eleven had described him to be.
Instead of the twins speaking up to greet him back, Mo Na Ye was the one to do their introduction. “Your Holy One, this is Yang Ji and this is Yang Xu. They are children of Yang Kai, and have been brought here by your other half.”
Mo, already knowing this, just raised a hand as he gave a nod and asked the twins directly. “Just what are you two?”
This question had naturally confused the twins. How were they going to answer this?
Seeming to notice their confusion, Mo further elaborated. “My Black Ink Strength is not something Ninth-Order Masters can easily resist. My Black Ink Strength definitely still affects you two, but what are you two compared to those in the Ninth-Order Open Heaven Realm? How are you able to resist its influence so easily?”
This was another question that the twins also did not know how to answer. Was it their constitution? Or, was their Qi just different?
Yang Ji pondered for a moment, and gave an unconvincing, “I think it’s because of our pure Bloodlines.”
Mo, obviously well experienced, could tell that there was more to the story. However, if the children did not want to say it, he had no wish to force it out of them. After all, such an ability might not be replicable.
After answering, Yang Ji felt as though it was their turn to ask. So, he posed this question to Mo, “Why did you want to see us, resorting to separating us from Uncle Eleven?”
This was basically the same question he had asked Mo Na Ye – ‘why did you kidnap us’.
Mo was frank and open, not hiding anything from them. “To take in as hostages, also, to seek your help.”
“Help?” Both Yang Ji and Yang Xu exclaimed, almost unable to believe their ears. After all, why would this almighty being, maybe second only to their Father, be asking them for help?
Mo continued to explain. “Yes, I need the assistance of those who will not be corrupted by my Black Ink Strength and can use Purifying Light. Moreover, these people must be weak enough to not be detected as a threat.”
Yang Xu was the one to ask this time. “In that case, why not take Uncle Eleven with us?”
“It is not yet time to meet him.”
“Not yet time?” The twins simultaneously asked.
“I can even do a Dao Oath right now, that I, Mo, will meet him once you help me with my troubles.” Mo said, as if already prepared for this. “There, is this enough to satisfy you two?”
Silavin: I’m going to now use he for Mo instead of the previous ‘it’. There is a reason for this but I won’t get to it right now.
