Mate to a king

Chapter 17

Chapter 17

-James-

Last night is a blur, from what I could remember I had found roughly where Bloom was hiding. I need to just search there later on.

I can remember part of it yesterday, I was so depressed that my king wolf took over and resulted me to drinking.

He went to a human bar, I don't even know how many shots he drank, but to get a wolf drunk it must have been spiked by a special witch.

I woke up in a strangers bed, a girl lying next to me, fully dressed, my wolf spoke to me saying "Hey idiot, you know, I had to stop that other idiot wolf of yours from going to far. He drank way to much and picked up some random girl. You’re lucky you got me." That's the only thing he said to me before cutting me off completely. Rolling my eyes i sighed deeply.

I wanted to scream, pull my hair till it rips straight off my head. I am so lucky I have my wolf looking after me. I ran out the house, glad I was still fully clothed.

I needed to find Bloom fast, this will be the only way I can apologize to her. I just hope I can get all the ideas organised before I find her. Off to the castle then to town.

Bloom.~

The fresh smell of dawn, dawned upon my senses. Everything I dreaded may have already happened in not even 12 hours. Maybe I am doubting him already. What if Axe was still in control? That was probably the case. His wolf, Xavier, probably stopped him before Axe could go to far. I would have felt the bond sever if he had.

The dread that fills my heart still makes me want to scream and shout. What would happen if he really had done... what I think he has. All content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

Tears threaten to spill from my eyes, but I don't let them. I won't cry over him any longer.

A rustle from behind me startle me, causing me to jump up from my seat on the rocks on from of a stream. This forest is so pretty, peaceful and full of nature. Hey, I have always thought they were amazing though. As a kid, the one place I could find myself at peace with life was in a forest.

Coming back to my thoughts, the one thing I didn't expect to see was standing right in front of me. The sight I see makes me want to ball my eyes out and scream.

My mother, she's here, safe, alive!

"Hey, it's okay, I'm here, it's really me." She spoke with the familiar softness in her voice. Clearly seeing the tears threading my eyes.

I ran straight up to her, falling straight into her embrace. The familiar warm look in her eyes.

My world will never be the same.

"I can't believe you are really here. How?" I whispered, I'm suprised she really heard me.

"well, when that war started, I had a dummy placed to make a decoy for Aiden. I escaped, watched over you escaping his grasp." I was so relieved. The one person I missed the most was here, holding me in her embrace.

"Also, I have someone who is crying his eyes out, for you, he hates himself, just follow me." She hushed, holding my hand tightly in hers, dragging me gently behind her.

The next thing I saw made me completely break down even more. The face of my mate, staring back at me from a heart made of my favourite flowers, lilies. Strange to make a heart from but he knows the way to my heart. As always. I cried, this time in happiness and surprise. I chuckled lightly. He saw me and a grin immediately covered his face.

Rushing over to me, my mum let go of my hand so James could wrap his arms tight around me.

"I am so freaking sorry Bloom. Listen, I love you and what Axe did to you yesterday was unexceptable. I made sure he was scolded respectfully and rightfully." He cried into my hair. Hugging me impossibly tighter.

"Hey, shhh, it's okay, I get it, but that pain I got this morning in my abdomen. Was that you, you know?" I asked kind of shy, he laughed at the look of disgust on my face.

"No, it wasn't. Axe had taken over in my state of depression, he went to a human bar, somehow, managed to get drunk and steal a random girl out the bar. Xavier stopped him before he could go any further than kissing. I couldn't do anything. You had ran away, I felt like dieing." He poured all his words out in a whirl wind.

I squeezed him tight before letting go slightly. Before I said anything, I kissed him slightly, almost telling him I understood. The look on his face made me laugh. He was grinning from ear to ear.

He took my hand and I took my mums. We now were walking back to the castle in content silence, comfortable, not awkward.
