Mate to a king

Chapter 5

Chapter 5

-Bloom-

I woke up noticing a strong pair of arms wrapped around me possessively. I was about to scream, turn and punch the person in the face simultaneously, but as soon as I felt the tingles I relaxed instantly. Despite the fact I had opened up, I wasn’t quite settled in with everything yet.

I thought of everything that had happened over the course of the past few days. Rejecting Aiden, running onto new territory, then meeting my second chance mate and talking to his adopted sister, Lexi in Town. She really was such a sweet-hearted person.

Life so far has never been an easy ride. Then again, who has such an easy life with all the luxuries they could ever want. Some people may think they have it all, but somewhere within them, something is missing.

I tried to wriggle from James's grip but he just growled. Any attempt at escaping would probably go to waste.

"Stay mate. Please," I was shocked at this side of him. Most people refer to him as cold hearted and ruthless, but this is just not what anyone would of expected from him, especially now. According to a lot of werewolf books that I have read by people, even the worst, cold-hearted Alpha always warms up around his mate. This however is not always the case, as you could see by the Aiden situation. This content © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.

He was clearly not going to back down so soon as he wrapped his arms tighter around me. I guess I will have to stay in bed for a bit longer just to make him happy!

Males and their possessiveness. It is sometimes actually kinda sickening, but I could certainly get used to this. Not having to keep looking over my shoulder at every turn to ensure I wasn’t being watched like

a hawk, or that I was about to be jumped at any chance available.

-Aiden-

She didn’t realize I was keeping an eye on her every movement. Her every footstep recorded in my brain.

What she was doing at this point in time, in that stupid royal pack land with her new 'Mate' well so called anyway.

She’s still mine because I never accepted her rejection. How did this- How could this even happen? Life is so unfair. I always get what I want. Always.

My wolf, Xavier was angry at me for being so harsh to my mate. Whining and whining, on and on but I couldn't care less what he thought, only that the pain my wolf was feeling was almost unbearable for me, but why? She isn’t someone special, just another girl who just so happened to be bonded to us. To me.

She rejected me! No one does that to Alpha Aiden Summers! Not even my own family are allowed to say no to me. But guess what, my mate apparently can. I growled at that.

She and that mutt of an Alpha King will not get away from me and well, my army I guess. When I actually find an army. Now where to begin? The rogues or enemy packs?

-Bloom-

Breakfast went by really fast, it was just me and James. Until I was introduced to the pack I was not allowed to eat with them because of privacy and protection issues.

Meeting the whole entire pack was not first on my list of important things. I would say that it is at least fifth. First was to get to know James a lot more before i decide on where we placed in our relationship.

According to James, later on meaning after I was dressed and ready, he was taking me to a restaurant down the road for dinner and so we could get to know each other. We never really had the chance to.

All I knew about him so far is that he has a younger Sister and had a younger Brother. I still feel bad for asking him about Kaden, his older brother. He kept saying he didn’t mind, but I could see it in his eyes that it brings back too many memories for him. I really wanted to know more but I would have to make sure I ask when he tells me that it is okay.

He said that he was picking me up from the bedroom at about five. He had some paperwork to finish off and a meeting to attend.

It was currently four. I have just had a bath and started changing. The most fun part. note the sarcasm.

I had decided on wearing, as James had told me was best to do, my casual outfit.

Lexi had brought me a few different outfits. We were going clothes and essential shopping hopefully tomorrow.

I slipped on a pair of black high waist skinny jeans, a plain white cropped top and a light wash denim jacket. Slipping on a pair of high top Nike air trainers, I was ready.

I never bother with make-up. Only ever use it for special occasions, not that today isn't, and for fun.

I always thought that your Mate should love you for you and not how you look. Make-up is just a part of it.

A knock on the door brought me out of my thoughts. Standing up lately had been painful. Whilst every mark begins to heal, it really took a toll on my body.

I jumped to open the door, revealing James, carrying a small bouquet of lilies. White to be exact. My favourite flowers.

Wait, how'd he know that. I have barely told him anything. Unless Lexi told him as I did tell her.

That's why she was asking. Damn. I can be quite late figuring things out sometimes..

James took me outside the entrance to the palace and towards a car. From what I am guessing, he has many more.

The whole time we spent getting to know each other.

I found out that his birthday is March 6th, two days before mine strangely. He loves the colour navy, the navy that is pretty much black.

The whole night we just sat around the palace afterwards. Watching the television and just chatting the night away until I fell asleep. This had to be one of the best days with no interruptions yet.
