Mated In Chaos: The Broken Mate

Chapter 7

I stare at him shocked, I don’t know if he’s joking because he said it without flinching. He is serious about killing Alpha Connor,

‘No, Zuriel, I’ll be fine. But I do want to find him so that he can accept my rejection,’

‘That fucker,’ he murmurs. I was tied to Connor, and I’d feel it when he is fucking other women. That will be his great punishment for me. I hated Connor so much.

‘I’m sure he’s on the run now and won’t be coming anytime soon,’ I sigh. Zuriel’s phone rings, and he pulls it from his pocket with a frown and shows me the caller ID. It’s my Dad.

‘Don’t tell him about the condition you found me in. It’s embarrassing,’ I say, my cheeks heating up from embarrassment. He looks at me wordless but nods. I don’t want this to get out. It’s a shame in my family’s name. Everything I did was wrong. I wasn’t supposed to go with him without my parent’s blessing, and I especially wasn’t supposed to mate with him without the ceremony. If it gets out, the rumormongers will be vicious. I wouldn’t want that scrutiny on my family. I was the princess, not a commoner. They were rules to my mating. I will only tell them I rejected my mate.

Zuriel finished talking to my Dad and gave me the phone. I contemplated answering, and just like I expected, he was fuming. I feel bad I worried them so much, especially my father, I was his little girl, his tiny princess,

‘I’m sorry, Dad,’ I cry.

‘You’re impulsive. That has always been a flaw of yours,’ he says. He is angry at me, and tears burn my eyes.

‘I want you home now!’ he says and hangs up. I stare at Zuriel, his gaze is somewhere else, in the forest. Is he thinking of chasing after Connor?

After asking his beta and other men where Connor was, they confirmed he left the pack and didn’t know when he’d be back.

‘Let’s go,’ I say, feeling defeated.

As we leave the mansion, I catch a glimpse of the bitch, his girlfriend, I don’t waste my time lunging at her and beating her up. She is screaming, but I don’t stop. Even Zuriel does not attempt to stop me, while the people around us are watching in horror.

‘You fucking bitch, tell your boyfriend I’ll find him, and kill him,’ I spite, and get off her after hitting her head against the floor.Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.

I inhaled and glared at everyone watching us before leaving.

Zuriel drives us back to the pack, and I’m a nervous wreck. The drive was comfortable but neither of us spoke.

‘Mom, did you see her?’ I ask, looking at him.

‘No,’ comes his short reply.

My mother must been dying with worry, I’ll receive a scolding from her. My eyes were tired after what I’d been through the last three days. I yawn and close my eyes to sleep for a bit.

Zuriel

She must be tired. She fell asleep forty minutes into the car. My eyes glance at her again. Why is she so naive sometimes?  How can one go with a man they know nothing about simply because they are mates? Did they mate? A question that shouldn’t even be ringing in my head does. My wolf wanted to know the answer to that too. Gods, I hope she didn’t mate with that fucker Alpha.

I reached the pack and took her to my penthouse. I couldn’t take her home in the condition she was. She needed plenty of rest. I carry the little Princess upstairs in my arms. She’s so tiny yet strong. I enjoyed watching her beat the shit out of that woman.

I stared at her face as we were in an elevator. She’s nineteen years old now and no longer a child. Elara Silvius didn’t have a single flaw except her obstinacy.

I try to figure out what the Silvius could have done to the poor excuse of an Alpha. Even if the man suffered at the hands of her parents, it wasn’t her fault. I think back to how she was struggling in that pool. I could feel my dragon and wolf’s anger, making me want to burst out with something. I feel darkness around me, and my body shakes with rage.

‘Zuriel, Zuriel, you’re hurting me,’ her smooth voice jolts me from my thoughts. It was alarmed, and I took deep breaths, pushing back the two beasts and locking them away from me. She places a gentle hand on my chest as she looks up at me in worry. Our gaze was locked, and my eyes fell on her pink plum lips.

‘Put me down, I can stand,’ her voice is low, yet doesn’t remove her gaze from me. Her vibrant green eyes are mesmerizing, the color that suited her.
