Mated To My Alpha Brother

Chapter 6

Julian sprinted to Mia’s room and opened the door wide. Mia wasn’t in bed. He looked around and found her curled up on the door, in a corner of the room. She was trembling, her hair was messy and her hands were covering her ears, trying so hard not to hear anything.

Her face looked pale. She looked up and saw Lian where he stood, watching her in pain.

“Lian.” She called slowly and stood up, then ran to him. Lian was ready to receive her. She hugged him tightly and buried her face in his chest.

“Lian.” She called and started crying. “Ssh… it’s okay baby, it’s alright, I’m here now.” He soothed and stroked her hair gently.

In few minutes, she dozed off on her feet. Then he carried her in a bridal way and placed her on the bed gently and tucked her body well under the duvet.

He looked around the room. The floor was really messy, she must’ve lost total control over her phobia. As he was about to get off the bed and arrange the room, he felt a soft and warm touch. “Please don’t go.” Mia sleep-talked. Lian removed her hold on him and held her hand. “I’m going nowhere okay?”

You don’t expect him to get a reply anyways. He got into the bed with her and watched her closely. She started some weird and slight movements. ‘Does she have trouble sleeping?’ He thought of a lullaby and decided to sing ‘Lovely by Billie Eilish’

‘Thought I found a way

Thought I found a way out

But you never go away

So I guess I gotta stay now…’

He continued singing and before he knew it, she was already snoring(gently though). She looked more peaceful. Lian kissed her forehead before drifting to sleep also.

The rays of the sunlight shone brightly in the room through the partly curtained window. Mia opened her eyes to see a pretty and flawless face. She smiled as she admired him.

He looked so peaceful, like he had always been. She was so close to him that her heart was accelerating. She didn’t know why. She and Lian had slept together numerous times and on no occasion did she feel that way. She found herself smiling sheepishly, as she got amazed at the perfectness of his facial features. Thick dark lashes, pinkish colored tiny lips, white, spotless skin.© 2024 Nôv/el/Dram/a.Org.

He made some slightly movements and she closed her eyes immediately, pretending to be asleep. The sun shone directly into his eyes and he groaned and tilted his face away from the sum’s direction.

He was still and stared at Mia’s face for a while. Stray strands of hair fell on her face and he put it back to it’s place gently. As he touched her, Mia’s body started heating up.

It was so strange and weird. She herself didn’t understand the reaction. Lian smiled, he could sense that she was not sleeping. He glanced at the table clock, before getting off the bed and then out of the room.

As soon as she heard the door slam, Mia opened her eyes immediately and sat up. She placed her hand on her chest, trying to feel the beat rate. “Hey, calm down.” She cautioned but her heartbeat didn’t come down to the normal rate.

Her hands moved to her cheeks and it was so hot. She didn’t seem to understand herself anymore. Could it be fever?

“Lian, here are the students’ files.” Shane said as he handed over some thick files to him. Lian went through the three files quickly. He was a fast reader. “Asher Swift, Alan Green, Ryan Lopez.” He mumbled as he stared at their profiles.

“Should I contact the disciplinary committee?” Shane asked. “Not yet, I want to see them first.” Julian said. “Why?” Marlin arched a brow.

“Nothing serious…”

Julian’s POV

My gaze was fixed on the three guys- Asher, Alan and… Ryan. They were on their knees with their heads hung low.

“Why did you do it?” I asked. They all looked up to me and the guy in middle opened his mouth to talk, then he closed it again.

“I hate repeating myself, or should I just hand over you assholes to Amereta?” Lian yelled and they all shook. Their Alpha wasn’t the type to go hard on the pack members but they could tell at that minute that he was getting furious.

“No! Please Alpha, do not hand us over to the goddess.” The middle guy said, pleadingly. “Then I give you 5 seconds to answer my question. Why-did-you-steal-the-red-stone? One!” Lian said.

“Two!” He continued, a d he counted the seconds, the guy trembled in fear and started hitting each other with their arms

“You talk!” They said to one another impatiently. Lian smirked. “They must take me for a joke.” He mumbled. “Four!” He counted.

“Oh uh? I.. I… Alpha I think.. you skipped three.” The guy called Alan said. Lian chuckled. “You still have time to think about that?”

“I’ll talk.” The third guy, who hasn’t said anything yet, broke in, calmly.

“It all happened during the last sanitation. We were assigned to clean the entrance of the forest. Asher wasn’t feeling so well so Alan had to accompany him back to the hostel. And so I was left alone, the last thing I remember was packing up the cleaning tools.” Ryan explained. His gaze was on the floor. He couldn’t look Lian in the eye, it was very disrespectful.

Lian was really furious, his eyes colour were changing gradually, into a pair of silver. His wolf was fighting to take over, wanting to deal with the bastards in front of him, but he fought it back. “Are you kidding me right now? You’re telling me you don’t remember taking the stone? You really do take me for a joke.” Lian scoffed.

“Lian calm down, I think he’s telling the truth.” Marlin cooed through mind link. Lian got the message immediately and calmed down. He sensed it. Ryan wasn’t lying.

“Get out, this instant!” He ordered.
