Mated To The Twin Alpha Heirs

Wolf-it

"I wonder what Aaron sees in that girl."

Lucas complained as he had been doing for the past five minutes Aaron and I had entered the place. The table was long, dining style. Even the seats too. It was more like a booth. A very long, luxurious booth. Then there were the single seats and smaller tables for when each person wanted to eat separately but I did not think that had ever happened. The single tables and chairs looked unused, though they had no dust or dirt but they looked lonely and abandoned. That analysis was quite funny for inanimate objects but that was how I felt.

We were all positioned on the long booth that also looked like the perfect dining furniture for family. The look and the feel of the luxuriously spacious cafeteria was cozy. It was like the place that promotes unity and celebrates bond between loved ones. Whoever that had decorated this place deserved an award, they did an awesome job. I could just lie on the marbled floor and go to sleep without a fuss. "Me too"

Zach cast an accusing glare at Aaron who merely looked at both his brothers without saying nothing.

"Trenton growled."

I put in. Trenton threw me a glance and went back to his phone.

"Are you serious?"

Lucas sat upright from one of the two long booth-like sofa. He had chased everyone out of that one, making it clear the three of us were going to be seating in the opposite one. We knew he had done it to spite Aaron for allowing Katelyn the audience to even speak about coming into the cafeteria.

"Yes. You need to see how she yelped in fear."

Zach commented, supporting my statement. "Why did I miss it?"

Lucas berated himself.

"You were angry."

Zach told him.

"Yes, I was. That girl is so annoying and she's so fake. I don't like her. I am just tolerating her because of Aaron."

"Because of me?"

Aaron asked.

"Yes, because of you."

"I thought you guys liked her?"

"Never did. Never will."

Zach concluded.

"You should not conclude like that, Zach. She's nice if you get to know her."

I was trying to defend Katelyn. She was a friend now and it was not right to bad talk friends. No one was perfect, people had made mistakes. Some worse than others, but what mattered was if the person began to feel regret and took on that bold step to apologize and move on. Katelyn was not a bad person, at least not anymore.

"Hot legs, I've been here before you. I know that girl, we practically grew up together."

"People can change. Maybe she has, just give her a chance."

"She's always too clingy and desperate and possessive."

Lucas counted off his fingers on one hand.

"And she is crazy. She's a crazy bitch."

Zach added. Taking a sip of his juice.

"And obsessive too."

Lucas included. He was slurping yoghurt from its carton.

"It's okay guys. No one is perfect. Don't just write her off."

Aaron calmly uttered, also trying to defend her as I was trying to do. Only Zach and Lucas were not interested, they kept listing things about her they did not like, and it was quite a long list. "Won't you take your order yet?"

Aaron inquired.

"I guess I'm ready."

As a result of Lucas' complains about Katelyn, no one had ordered any food, just drinks. Aaron and Trenton had ordered wine. I had opted for water.

He beckoned on one of the servers. She walked over and gave us a menu to peruse.

"Do they change the menu?"

I was surprised because the last time I was here, the food written on the menu was very different from what was written in here today. "Yes, they do."

Zach was the one that replied. He was done talking about Katelyn, Lucas too. That one was seriously looking into the menu card. "Wow. That was stressful for sure."

"Girlfriend, dad pays them for it. They are instructed to never serve us the same meal for the next three or four days. They make intercontinental dishes too so we have varieties to pick from." "I'm impressed."

Truly, I was impressed. Like making so many dishes for just five people everyday was not a walk in the park especially not for people like me who could not cook to save their life. I'm sure even they found it daunting sometimes. "Yeah. It's worth it."

Suddenly curious, I turned to look at the servers there. There were four of them.

"Are they the chefs?"

I directed the question to everyone at the table.

"No. They just serve."

Lucas replied.

"Oh. But when I went in yesterday, I saw no kitchen or any cooking space."

Aaron smiled. "Did you check everywhere?"

"No, I did not."

"There are many room and space that except you're very observant, you won't notice it."

"Of course hot legs, where did you think this fell from? The sky?"

"You don't have to be so cheeky. Be like Aaron, be gentle."

I was sandwiched between him and Aaron. Trenton occupied the space beside Aaron. Lucas still had his sofa all to himself.

"I'm Zach. Aaron is my brother. We're different."

"Maybe she's beginning to crush on Aaron. She wants you to be like her crush."

I was mortified. "You guys!"

Aaron's smile widened. And yes, his gaze was on me. I flushed scarlet and focused on my menu as though there was something important written in there.

"That could be true. You're right, Lucas."

They high fived each other. This was very embarrassing, I tried to hide my face behind the menu. Though Aaron and I were not seated opposite, his being near me was just affecting me.

Zach beckoned on the same server Aaron had called. He listed his own orders, Lucas did the same. Trenton gave his own order, followed by Aaron. I was the last to give my order. She left to go get our orders when a voice spoke through the intercom.

"Hello students, this is Beta Mark. In four days time, we'll be having our Wolf-It class. Be prepared."

Then it went off.

"What is Wolf-It?"

I asked.

"It's when the students come out to display their wolves."Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org exclusive © material.

My heart thudded. "So you mean the students will be expected transmute before everyone?" "Exactly."

Lucas replied.

Dread filled the pit of my stomach.

I noticed Aaron was intently looking at me, so I tried my best to mask my fear with a smile.

Just when I thought my life was getting better, history was about to give me a slap in the face again.
