Chapter 3
Chapter 3
Leon Keith
"Be nice, they're here!" My dad warned me and I automaticly got up as the guess came in. My eyes
landed on the beautiful woman behind the elders. The picture that my dad showed yesterday didn't do
justice, she's like a living doll.
"Wesley!"
"Pierce!" The both men hugged tightly and I'm assuming my dad and him were pretty close back in the
days. I saw my mom greet Mr. Evans' wife politely.
"Leon, right?" I turned to see the beautiful woman already standing beside me with her hand in front of
me. Her beautiful face made me speechless for a split second, I swear her picture didn't do justice.
"Well.. I'm assuming you're not that.. welcome to see me." She said but I caught her hand quickly.
"Leon." I introduced myself.
"Ivory or you can call me Ivy." She said and I nodded.
"Let's sit down and order. I'm quite hungry." My dad announced but before I could sit down fully. I
introduced myself to Ivory's parents. They greeted me warmly and I can tell that they're great people,
besides their reputation in public of course.
"You know, Leon, I've been waiting for this day." Pierce said and I raised my eyebrows.
"He thinks you're the right man for me." I turned to Ivory and she's currently putting the napkin on her
lap. I chuckled as I turned to Pierce and his wife, Kristina.Property © NôvelDrama.Org.
"I personally been waiting for this day, we talked about this 20 years ago when the kids were little." My
dad said and I turned to Ivory. It's quite clear that she's a little arrogant. I can see it in her eyes and how
she sits down.
"Let's order." My dad said and I took the menu in front of me. I opened the menu book when I heard a
light cough.
"Can you recommend me a menu?" I turned to Ivory and she pointed her index finger to the menu.
"Do you have any allergies or.. diet menu?" I asked politely because I know that she's a model. She
seemed surprised when I asked her because her eyes widen looking at me.
"Uhmm.. I don't like avocado." She said and I nodded.
"I recommend you to try the japanese style salmon steak here. It's their best menu." I said and she
turned her attention to the menu book again.
"I'll order that then." She said simply.
"Okay. How about you dad?" I turned to my dad who's sitting next to me.
"I'm craving the ramen." My dad said.
"Ramen?" I heard Ivory mumbling and I turned to her.
"You want to try the ramen?" I asked and she flinched when I ask her.
"Ivory loves ramen." Her mom said.
"You want to change your order?" I asked her and she shook her head.
"Okay." I said and I called the waiter since everyone finished picking what they want. After telling the
waiter all the orders, I turned my attention to Ivory.
One thing that made me a little uncomfortable is that she stands out. You can't ignore her presence, too
beautiful to be ignored. She wore a tight and short white dress with long shiny earrings, red lips and
gold necklace.
Judging by her gesture, she's arrogant. She knew it so well that she's beautiful and she got everyone's
eyes on her. Quite the opposite from me, I hate attention. I don't like when everyone's eyes on me.
"Do you mind talking a walk with me before we eat?" Ivory asked and I turned to my parents. They
gave me a nod and I turned to her nodding.
"15 minutes, Leon." My mom reminded.
"Okay."
"Excuse us." Ivory said and I walked towards the door to open the door for her. She smirked at me and
walked out first. I checked my watch to see the time and then I put both of my hands into my pocket.
"You seem to enjoy the arranged marriage situation." She said and I chuckled.
"I can't say that I'm enjoying it. I'm just being polite. Besides, I can't say no when my parents are clearly
excited for this." I said it honestly.
"I heard that you just broke up with your.. highschool sweetheart." She said in a cold tone and I stopped
walking. I turned to her disbelief because I can say that she's a little bit rude when she's touching this
subject.
"Yes." I said because there's nothing I can do with that fact.
"Are you planning to get back with her?"
"Can we please not get into this?" I asked her and she started to walk again. I sighed looking at this
woman because she's not exactly my type. I walked again beside her as I looked up to the beautiful
sky.
"What's next?" Ivory stopped and she turned to me. She crossed her hands in front of her chest looking
at me straight into my eyes.
"What do you mean?"
"Us."
"I honestly don't know. I just broke up with my girlfriend and I don't think I'm ready to start a new
relationship." I said.
"Still love your ex?"
"We dated for 8 years and I was planning my proposal when she broke up with me." I sighed as I
looked down to the ground. I noticed there's a small blood stain on her left foot.
"What happened?" I asked as I kneeled down checking her foot.
"Nothing, just a little accident earlier." She said and I gestured to take her foot out from her high heels.
"Hold on to my shoulder, I want to check it." I said and she held on to my shoulder as she took out her
foot.
"Why did you wear this when it's clearly hurting you?" I asked as I looked up to her.
"Fashion." She said without looking at me. I shook my face as I put her foot back. I got up and looked
around me.
"Wait here.." I said when I saw what I'm trying to find. I turned to Ivory and gestured to stay there. She
nodded and I walked away towards the small pharmacy across the street. I quickly bought a bandage
for her and walked back but I can't see her anywhere.
Unbelievable!
I told her to stay but she ran away already. I tried to look for her from shops to shops but she's nowhere
to be found. She's pretty handful huh? I can't believe this.
I decided to go back to the restaurant, maybe her parents can call her. When I walked into the
restaurant, I saw her sitting on her chair. I looked at her disbelief and I walked towards everyone.
"Where were you? Why did you leave her alone?" My dad asked and I showed him the bandage that I
bought.
"What happened?" My mom asked and I turned to Ivory.
"Mom.. Dad.." She called her parents and I looked at her confuse.
"Huh?" Her dad turned to her.
"I want to marry him." What?
