Holt and her team of bodyguards got a timely rescue from Alex and Bill's crew.

Holt took quite a beating, a bit bruised and looking a tad worse for wear. But she didn't give her own state a second thought. She rushed onto the stage, standing protectively by Selena.

Everett gently kissed Selena's cheek, handing her over to Holt for safekeeping. He took off his jacket and draped it over Selena's shoulders, then turned to face the crowd. With a steady, clear voice, he began to speak.

"The engagement between Miss Ginger and me was called off a few days ago. There was never any romantic involvement between us. Even during our brief interactions, all we did was share a meal, and that was it. Selena didn't come between any friendships."
