Mr. Neal, Mrs. Neal’s Gone With The Money

Chapter 26

Chapter 26

Being the heir to Yates Group was too exhausting; she just wanted to find someone to truly love and spend her life with, building a happy home through their combined efforts. Even without the status of the Yates Group heir, her net worth was comparable to Joshua’s. Before their divorce, she wanted the marriage to end the way it began, as Cynthia. With these thoughts in mind, she decided to tell Old Man Yates about it. Content © NôvelDrama.Org.

If she did not tell him, he would surely give himself away due to surprise when Joshua brought her to meet him the next day.

“What?” Mr. Yates was stunned, his mind unable to process the information for a moment. Why is he bringing you to meet me?”

“He wants to test my identity,” Cynthia replied bluntly. In truth, that was not Joshua’s real goal. His true intention was to find out if Cynthia would make a phone call to contact Chairman Yates after learning about the situation. If she did, it would mean she was telling the truth. If not, she was just making stuff up.

After talking to Mr. Yates, Cynthia received an email from the same sender as before.

[Yes, he wants you to help him check the call records of a mobile number to see if this number has recently contacted the Yates Group Chairman.]

Cynthia could not describe her current emotions. It felt like someone was trying to poison her by asking her which poison would be most effective. In a good mood, she quickly replied, [Last I checked, there was no contact between the two.]

She was not afraid of Joshua asking other hackers to check. Her phone number and other contact methods were encrypted, and it was impossible to obtain them through illegal means.

Seeing the email, Joshua made a phone call to another person who was helping him. The person confirmed the same result. This made him think otherwise.

The next afternoon, Cynthia was still at the hospital chatting with Shirley, listening to her recount the interesting events that had happened over the past two years. As they talked, the conversation turned to Joshua.

“Sis, there’s something I haven’t told you.”

“What?”

“About Joshua.”

“Yes?”

Cynthia’s interest was piqued, and a bad feeling began to surface in her heart. Shirley looked a bit guilty, biting her lip and slowly saying, “This morning, I talked to Dad for a bit. I found out that Joshua was going to bring you to meet him, so I asked Dad to arrange the meeting here.”

serious?”

Cynthia looked at her in dismay. “Are you

“I just wanted to see what he’s like in real life,” Shirley admitted, knowing she had done something wrong, but her curiosity was getting the better of her. “After all, he was once my brother–in–law.”

Cynthia fell silent. This girl really knew how to cause trouble.

་་

“Sis?”

“Are you good at acting?” Cynthia did not blame her for what she did.

Shirley hesitated, then nodded. “Yes.”

“If Joshua really agrees to meet here, pretend you don’t know me when you see me,” Cynthia had not even considered this, fearing that Shirley’s acting might not be good enough to conceal the truth. “And don’t make any eye contact with me.”

“Okay.”

“Also, don’t be overly curious about him. He’s not your brother–in–law; he’s just a business partner of Yates Group.”

“Alright!”
