Mr. Sanderson's Life At The Top

Chapter 10

Chapter 10

"I knew a loser like Trevor would fail to win Corrie's favor. I mean, she's the prettiest of all!" Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g

"What a loser!"

Seeing the crowd burst into laughter, Trevor's pale face turned livid with rage.

Did he deserve to be humiliated just because he was poor?

Anger boiled within him, and if it weren't for Bessie, he would have left the place immediately.

Unfortunately for him, no one cared about his feelings.

Noticing the angry look in their coach's eyes, Bernard knew that she was at her limit.

"Everyone, don't laugh at this poor loser anymore.

Miss Taylor's birthday must not be ruined.

We all bought gifts for her.

How about we take them out? Let’s see which one she loves the most.”

Bernard gathered everyone's attention and was about to open his gift box with a sense of pride in his

heart.

The next moment, a delicate perfume bottle was placed on the table.

"Bessie, here's my gift for you, Hermes perfume!"

"Wow, what a beautiful bottle of perfume! It must be quite expensive, right?"

"Bernard is so rich. The gift he bought must cost a lot!"

"This is a new limited edition Hermes perfume. A single bottle of it costs more than ten thousand

dollars!"

“Wow! A perfume that's worth more than ten thousand dollars is something that a student can't afford

so easily!”

Those beautiful girls looked at Bernard with admiration.

This man was too generous.

Bessie had only heard that Bernard was a man who liked to flirt with girls everywhere.

She had no idea that Bernard was such a generous man.

Bessie couldn't help but have a deeper impression of him.

"It's not that expensive. My dad is very familiar with that regional manager of Hermes. It only cost me

7999 dollars. It’s very cheap!"

When Bernard saw

the admiration in the girl's eyes, his complacent smile grew bigger.

He then glanced at Trevor and teased, "Trevor, you must have bought a gift for Miss Taylor, too, right?

Why don't you show it to us?"

“I gave Miss Taylor the gift I bought for her as soon as I came.” Trevor glanced at them and then looked

at Bessie gently.

"Miss Taylor, please take the gift out."

Bessie said, "It’s not necessary. Don't compare how valuable your gifts are. I like them all equally,

regardless of their worth."

Upon hearing those words, Trevor's expression darkened.

He could tell that Bessie was only doing it to stop him from feeling embarrassed in public.

He was a poor boy, so there was no way for him to afford expensive gifts.

But things had changed, and Trevor believed that no one's gift could be as priceless as his.

Trevor urged Bessie to take out his gift from her handbag, and she finally did so.

The entire room went silent for a moment.

Bessie unwrapped the package and was surprised.

The others in the room were stunned, too.

"Wow!"

Bernard exclaimed.

"A Hermes box. Trevor's gift is also from Hermes! A luxury item!"

"Trevor! Tell me, what dumpster did you pick up the box in? It must have taken a lot of time for you to

find it, right?"

The girls all laughed at Trevor.

Bessie even shook her head slightly.

Corrie originally thought that Trevor, although poor, should be an honest man, and to be frank, Trevor

was still somewhat qualified to be an ordinary friend.

But now, she despised Trevor.

"Well, he took time and effort to bring you this gift, right? So would it hurt for us to take a look at it?"

Corrie pouted and snatched the gift box from her cousin before she opened it without any hesitation.
