Mr. You, Please Dote On Me

Chapter 28: No Apology or One Million

The director impatiently turned on his cell phone, found out the news in the WeChat group and threw the phone to Shiyao.

“Listen to it yourself!”

Shiyao clicked on the video, which turned out to be an audio file.

“You’ll come to my wedding with Sicheng next month, right?

“Yeah. How can an ex-girlfriend of your husband be absent from your wedding, right?”

“I know you are still angry with me, but Sicheng and I really love each other. Why can’t you fulfill our wishes?”

“No, I’m not. You’re really a couple of bitches.”

“Yaoyao, ah!”

“Yaoyao, you, why are you pushing me?

“Interesting! I pushed you?”

“You should die here!”

“You should die here….”

Shiyao’s sharp sarcasm echoed long in the air and she sounded like a really vicious woman.

Shiyao smiled lightly. It was obviously a result of some post-processing. Ji Manqing had removed the parts bad for herself to build a very fragile and pitiful image.

In order to trample upon her, Ji Manqing really sacrificed a lot, even risking her own child.

Shiyao’s unconcerned smile completely irritated the director, “Shiyao, you are responsible for it, not the company. Try to negotiate with Li’s family by yourself.”

Shiyao raised her eyebrows and put the mobile phone on the table. It seemed that this trouble was not so easy to solve.

“Why should I take responsibility for what I didn’t do?”

With these words, Shiyao walked out decisively, leaving the director hysterically shouting in her office.

As the door opened, colleagues eavesdropping outside the door dispersed like a swarm of bees.

Shiyao frowned, said nothing and passed through the crowd, straight to the staff room to change clothes.

“Humph! She is playing dumb! Let’s wait and see…”

“That’s right. Li’s family is so hard to deal with that they can’t let her off so easily.”

Shiyao wearily closed the door of the staff room, unable to calm down from her quick breathing.

It was really annoying. ‘Now that Ji Manqing has won Li Sicheng, why does she casue me trouble again and again?’

She never wanted to compete with Ji Manqing. Even if she knew she was cheated, she would rather break up neatly with Li Sicheng than playing dirty with them. All she wanted to do was realizing her dream quietly.

Shiyao absently put on her uniform and walked out of the staff room. She had several flights today, so she couldn’t get distracted by this mess.

To be an excellent flight attendant had always been her dream.

Just out of the staff room, Shiyao was surrounded by a crowd.

A well-dressed rich woman grabbed Shiyao’s arm, trying to tear her to pieces.

“It’s you, bitch, give my grandson back!”

Most of the people around were Shiyao’s colleagues, but they all looked on with great interest rather than helping her.

On the contrary, they brought Li Sicheng’s mother here on purpose to embarrass her.

“Hey, granny, please let me go!”

In terrible pain, Shiyao tried to rid herslef, but in vain.

“Little bitch, don’t call me granny! I will kill you since you have killed my grandson!”

Her fat body pressed close to Shiyao, her sharp nails constantly scratching Shiyao’s face. Although not shorter than Li Sicheng’s mother, Shiyao was too thin to resist, only covering her face with her hands.

“Mom, what are you doing?”Text © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.

After accompanying Ji Manqing in the hospital all night, Li Sicheng came to work tired out in the morning and got the news that his mother was making trouble in the company.

Hearing Li Sicheng’s voice, his mother didn’t stop; instead, she became more violent with her son as backup.

“I will beat you to death .”

Shiyao leaned against the wall and could escape nowhere, instinctively shrinking her body. Li Sicheng quickly pulled them apart.

“Mom, stop it!”

Hearing Li Sicheng’s complaint, his mother stopped for a moment and burst out crying.

“Sicheng, that’s the bitch who has killed your son. You must take revenge for your son and get injustice for Manqing!”

Shiyao got her messy hair right in place and struggled to stand up calmly, her clothes untidied by Li Sicheng’s mother.

Fortunately, Ji Manqing snatched Li Sicheng in time. Otherwise, she didn’t know how much she would suffer if she married into Li’s family.

“Granny, I can sue you for beating me indiscriminately. Besides, I didn’t kill your pitiful grandson. If you keep on pestering me, I’ll see you in court.”

“Listen, everybody. This woman is still quibbling at this time. Everyone may have listened to the recording, which is conclusive evidence, while she refuses to take the blame!”

Li Sicheng’s mother angrily beat her chest, and all the people around backed her up. Li Sicheng knitted his brows, hesitating for a moment when seeing steadiness in Shiyao’s eyes.

He knew that Shiyao was afraid of even killing the ants, so it was impossible for her to do such an inhuman thing.

“Yaoyao,”

Thinking of Ji Manqing in hospital, Li Sicheng made up his mind and opened his dry lips.

“I wanna settle it between us.”

Shiyao couldn’t help laughing.

“Between us? How?”

“Give me one million yuan! Or it won’t be over!”

Li Sicheng’s mother scowled at Shiyao. If Li Sicheng hadn’t stopped her, she would have torn Shiyao into pieces.

Shiyao looked at Li Sicheng’s mother in surprise, opening her red lips into a circle.

“Your grandson is worth only a million!”

From the crowd came a few laughs, which embarrassed Li Sicheng so much that he looked bad.

“It’s quite a surprise that a rich family like Li’s would be so greedy.”

Shiyao was no pushover. While thinking about how to find the evidence, she satirized the mother and son of Li’s family

“What if I say no? It’s just a recording, not a video. Hearsay is not your style, Li Sicheng.”

Li Sicheng lowered his eyes. To be honest, when he heard that Ji Manqing lost her baby, he thought it was just because she fell down accidentally.

He had asked Ji Manqing to quit when she was pregnant, in case that she needed to walk around in high heels.

Ji Manqing didn’t listen to him and promised that it was fine, so he agreed to let her work for another month.

However, hearing Shiyao call them “a couple of bitches” in the recording persuaded Li Sicheng into believing Ji Manqing’s words.

‘Maybe Shiyao has really changed?’

“Yaoyao, stop quibbling,”

Li Sicheng looked at Shiyao with agony, and the previous guilt in his heart disappeared.

“I know you still hate me and Manqing. It’s my fault to betray you, but you shouldn’t take it out on an unborn child.”

“Manqing and you have been friends for so many years. As long as you go to the hospital with me to apologize to her, I’ll forgive you,”

Li Sicheng said with difficulty. This was the biggest concession he could make.

“Sicheng! What are you saying? You…”

Li Sicheng’s mother immediately came out in opposition to him. She had lost her grandson and was seriously insulted by Shiyao, so she couldn’t let Shiyao get off so easily.

“Mom, can you stop messing up? Please listen to me this time. It’s me and Manqing who betrayed Yaoyao first.”

Shiyao calmly watched Li Sicheng’s drama, shaking off her hands indifferently.
