My Aloof Sisters Asked for My Forgiveness

Chapter 619

"Mr. Fox, the Langley family's hospital is named Goodwill Hospital. They have their own pharmaceutical business and because they brought in a top grade physician a few years ago, they have a better reputation than the most prominent public hospital in Hattan."

Skyler was making a report to Dustin in the villa.

“For the past two years, the Langley family has basically taken up the entire market share for the private hospital business in the area. Only a couple of small hospitals are still surviving."

Dustin chuckled softly when he heard that.

"Buy the hospital closest to Goodwill Hospital," he said calmly. "I will use what they look down upon the most to ruin their hospital."

At the Langley family villa, they got the news about the purchase.

"What? They've bought Peace Hospital?"

Josiah had arranged for someone to keep an eye on what David and his family were doing. Once they found out about the purchase of Peace Hospital, the members of the main branch of the Langley family all laughed.

Peace Hospital was nothing but a tiny place that would soon be swallowed whole by the Langley family.

"Buying a hospital in the vicinity of Goodwill Hospital is a clear sign that they're trying to challenge us. What a shame that it's only wishful thinking!"

"Why did they have to pick Peace Hospital out of all the ones they could have bought?" Orion said with a scoff. "I already have the most experienced physician at my beck and call. He's the assistant director of the hospital, too!

"Don't worry. The family won't even have to do anything to put David and the others through hell. They're asking for trouble with this!" Orion was very confident and looked forward to it.

He wanted to avenge himself and his son, Archer.

Peace Hospital, located in Hattan, was a medium-sized private hospital that had been operating in the old city district for many years.

As technology advanced, the equipment and facilities at Peace Hospital slowly became obsolete. Without any new blood being brought in and any new relevant departments being added, the hospital was getting worse and worse.

There was a recent incident where a patient had died after receiving treatment. The patient's family had kicked up a fuss, while the physician in charge had been hasty. As such, the blowback from the incident had been significant.

Although the hospital had paid compensation to deal with the problem, its reputation had gone down the drain. Barely anyone went there to receive medical treatment, so the hospital was very quiet.

When Dustin and Simone arrived at the entrance and saw how quiet it was, Simone's face darkened.

It seemed like a pipedream to try and get this hospital up and going again.

Peace Hospital was on its last legs.

The building itself was old and badly kept. The equipment in the hospital was out of date, with many departments not even functional. How was it supposed to handle patients?

Dustin gathered all the hospital's staff.

There were not many of them because many had already quit and left.

"This is the new director of the

hospital, Simone Langley. In the next

month, you will all be taking orders

from her," Dustin said

"Is everyone here?" Simone asked.

"Not yet. The assistant director and some department heads aren't here," a nurse

said.

"Why aren't they here?"

"I don't know."

Simone could not help but frown.

She had just taken up her post as hospital director, but people were already tryingnoveldrama

to undermine her.

She decided that she would personally visit those few people.

Yesterday Skyler said that the most difficult person to deal with at the hospital was its short-tempered assistant director. He always formed cliques and pitted people against each other.

This person was Clarence Boudin. He was a well-known neurology expert and could be considered one of the top physicians at the hospital.

Dustin and Simone arrived at Clarence's office and heard a commotion inside.

Simone knocked on the door, but it went unanswered.

She opened the door anyway and saw that there were several people inside

playing cards. They did not even look at her.

Leading the group was Clarence himself.

Simone felt angry upon seeing this.

"How could you be playing cards during work hours in your office?" she asked loudly.

The people inside the room stopped playing and looked at her.
