Chapter 262 The Accident on the Dock

Faye woke up with a start.

Subconsciously, she turned her head to look at the FaceTime call on the phone, only to find that the

call had ended.

Faye pinched the center of her eyebrow. She took her phone and checked the time: it was 04:17 in the

morning.

According to the record, their FaceTime call ended half a minute ago,

Faye had always been a light sleeper. It could be sure that the knocks at the door were not her dream.

After giving it a thought, she found the phone number of Colin and dialed it.

The call had been put through, but no one answered it.

Faye could not help frowning before making a phone call to Abbot.

Abbot didn't answer it; instead, he rejected the call directly.

Faye called him again, but Abbot had turned off his phone.

Faye was subdued.

At the same time on the outskirts of Astonia.

Colin came out of a villa in a suit with Abbot, who was swearing, by his side. NôvelDrama.Org owns © this.

Andy sat in the driver's seat. He glanced at the two guys in the rearview mirror and asked, "Mr. Farrell,

are we going straight to the dock?"

Colin pulled his tie and said coldly, "Yup. Go straight to the dock."

With that, Andy turned the steering wheel and drove to the highway.

Abbot said, "I really didn't expect Hank Farrell to be so bold as to dare to do such a thing!"

Colin mocked, "It seems that he has known that your shell company is a trap."

Abbot smiled contemptuously and stated, "So what even if he has known it? He has lost his money

already. Is he that stupid to think I can give it back to him?"

Without waiting for Colin to answer, Abbot snorted and continued, "My Carter family has always been

greedy. Never think of getting a penny from us once we get our hands on the money!"

Colin had a faint smile on his face and uttered, "I wonder if Hank Farrell has the guts to show himself

today."

Abbot said, "He has the wolf by the ears, so he has no choice but to confront us."

Colin scoffed without saying anything.

More than an hour later, the car drove down the highway and reached the dock through a lush path.

Abbot was the first to get off the car. He stretched himself and uttered, "Look at this place. It's so warm

here, while in Cocanel, it's covered with ice and snow."

Colin also got off the car and teased, "After we settle the matter, you can stay here for a year."

Abbot turned his head, saying, "No need. It's too much for me."

Colin bantered, "Can't believe you'll think something is too much for you."

Abbot held the car door with one hand and looked back at Colin. "For the matter of today, if I have to

come here twice a month, I believe I'll definitely die young in half a year max."

Colin smiled mischievously and uttered, "Half a year? I guess you can't even make it through three

months."

It was rare that Abbot did not retort; instead, he said jokingly, "In fact, Ethan should be the one to take

care of such an issue; he'll be in his element."

Colin glanced at Abbot and cracked an evil smile, asking, "Aren't you afraid that he would kill people on

your turf?"

His words sent a chill down Abbot's spine. "Forget it then. I'm a legal businessman," said Abbot.

The dock belonged to the Carter family for the family business, and their partners were also allowed to

use it.

By virtue of shipping fees and cargo fees, the Carter family could also make a lot of money.

Colin lifted the collar, took off his coat, and threw it to Andy. Then, he turned to Abbot and asked,

"Where are them?"

Abbot answered, "They're locked in the warehouse."

Colin said gloomily, "Let's go and have a look."

A few minutes later, the three arrived at the warehouse.

The man, who was guarding the warehouse, saw Abbot and took the initiative to greet them, "Hi, Mr.

Carter, Mr. Farrell."

Abbot uttered with mockery, "Are those bastards alive?"

"Yeah, but there are two relatively timid guys who peed when they were caught after getting off the

boat."

Abbot chuckled and said, "Such cowards even have the guts to be smugglers?"

With that, Abbot motioned to the guy to open the door with his chin.

The guy knowingly took out the key and opened the door.

A strong unpleasant smell wafted in the warehouse.

Abbot frowned with disgust written all over his face.

Compared with Abbot, Colin and Andy appeared very calm.

Colin walked into the warehouse with Andy in tow.

Abbot's subordinates were not as cruel as Ethan Bond's. Although the men who were arrested were

tied up, they did not have any injuries on their faces.

Andy said, "Their arms and legs are not injured."

Colin looked sideways at him and said coldly, "Do you want to cripple them?"

Andy got the undertone of Colin's words; he lowered his head and dared not say a word.

Colin then set his eyes on a guy's face; the guy looked relatively calm. Colin stepped forward, leaned

over, and pinched the guy's chin. "Lance?" uttered Collin Farrell.

Lance looked up and grinned with no fear as he said, "Colin."

Colin slightly raised his eyebrows and stated teasingly, "It seems that my eldest brother has really paid

a lot this time. He even let you have a part in this."

Lance uttered, "That sounds like a compliment. I'm flattered, Colin."

Colin tightened his grip on Lance's chin. With a crack of the jaw, Lance's face turned pale in no time.

Colin looked bewitching. At the time, his smile could even take people's breath away. "It's indeed a

compliment."

With that, Colin let go of Lance's chin. He straightened up and looked at Andy while saying gloomily,

"Call my eldest brother and ask him if he still wants this flunky."
