My Four Miraculous Treasures

Chapter 231

Willow had thought that the kids were reading comics or fairy tales when they were at the bookstore all this while.

The kids looked at each other and smiled before continuing their meal.

"Like today, Hailey went out and almost got hit by a car because there was no one at home to take care of them. Luck is not always on our side. At least, there are teachers to watch over them when they're at school," Willow added.

Rachel chimed in, "That's right. The kids are four now. They should go to school."

Lara looked at the adorable quadruplets and sighed. "They're growing up fast and they're starting to be independent..."

Although the kids made Lara restless, she felt lost and reluctant at the thought of the kids not being by her side during the day. The kids would be at school during the day and would only be home at night.noveldrama

Rachel left in the evening.

After Willow had put the kids to bed, she searched for jobs on the computer.

She could only look at the jobs that didn't require any qualifications, like factory workers, janitors, or general workers.

She wondered if the knowledge she gained after two years of university had gone wasted.

She also wondered if it was like what Jasper had said. She was not up to expectations for the task.

She knew she was perfectly capable of doing a good job as a secretary, but most

of the companies were hiring based on education qualifications.

Willow suddenly saw a company recruiting for a secretarial assistant.

She took her chance and submitted her resume.

On her resume, she wrote that she worked as the personal secretary of Hughes Corporation's CEO for only a day.

She went to bed after that.

The next day, Willow and Lara dropped the kids off at preschool and enrolled them.

Their classes started immediately.

Lara had gone to the poker room to play poker, and Willow went back by herself.

At the bottom of her block, she saw a familiar silver Porsche.

A man who was wearing the latest autumn fashion was leaning against the car.

He was looking at the window upstairs.

Willow saw his face clearly. It was Xavier! She was surprised.

She looked away and lowered her head

didn't see him and headed that she

skly. She pretended t

to her block.

"Wills!" Xavier saw her at a glance. He stepped forward happily and

followed her. "Where were younet thought you hadn't gotten et."

Xavier waited for Willow downstairs to surprise her. He had planned to send her to

work.

Willow stopped and looked at him warily. "I told you not to contact me anymore."

Xavier smiled softly. "Wills, I know

that it was my fault back then for not promising you anything. I was just a student, I didn't have much ability. It's different now, I have my own company and I know what I want for my life. I can protect and give the woman I love a home. Wills, please give me another chance, Xavier said while he reached out to hold her hand.

When he was about to touch Willow, she pulled away instantly.

She repeated, " Xavier, it's been five years. I've forgotten everything about you. Leave me alone!"
