Chapter 419
"Me, me! I want to sing for Hailey too," Julian offered, raising his hand enthusiastically.
"Right then, Julian will present us with a song." Rachel played host.
Julian sang a song called Love Like Fire.
When he was done, he looked up with sparking eyes. "Everyone in my class knows how to sing this. They know the dance too."
Willow and Rachel exchanged bewildered glances. They had never heard this song before. Were they too outdated?
To think that kindergartners were up-to-date with the latest songs.
"That was great. Julian's good at singing too." Willow applauded after snapping out of her thoughts.
Rachel clapped as well.
Just then, Lara came out with some dishes and set them on the table. She still looked upset as she said, "Time for dinner."
"Yeah, let's eat. We'll have cake after dinner," Willow said.
Everyone sat down. It didn't take long for them to finish the food.
Willow gave a thumbs up and praised, "Mom, your cooking is getting better and better. Dinner was great. It tastes better than the food served in restaurants."
Lara rolled her eyes. "Stop trying to flatter me."
Despite saying that, Lara couldn't help but smile. She got up and cleared the plates.
After dinner, everyone gathered around to sing Hailey a song to celebrate. Since the song choices were too scattered, they decided to go with the birthday song.
They clapped as they sang together.
Hailey sat in front of the cake like a birthday girl as she listened with a sweet smile on her tiny face.
When they were done singing, Hailey blew at the candles. The first attempt failed.
At the second attempt, all four of the children blew together.

Willow cut the cake for Hailey. Everyone took their slice and ate it happily.
Although Hailey was full from dinner, being the mini glutton that she was, she couldn't help herself when there was dessert. With a spoon in her chubby little hand, she began stuffing herself with cake.
Like a hungry kitten, she looked adorable with cream all over her face.
Willow's heart melted at the sight.
She wiped Hailey's mouth lovingly with a tissue and said, "Slow down. No one's going to steal from you."
After she cleaned Hailey up, she turned to see Lilith with cream on her face too. She pulled another tissue to wipe Lilith's mouth.
Willow hadn't even started with her cake yet, but the sight of her children eating happily was sweet enough for her.
The times spent with her children were the happiest moments for her.
Rachel went home after the meal.
Willow played with the children for a short while before bathing them with Lara's help.
After tucking the children in bed, Willow read them a bedtime story.
Lara stood at the doorway and

her story. They were being reliant on her.
Willow's voice was gentle and sweet as she lovingly spent time with them.
It was such a heartwarming and therapeutic scene.
The warmth made Lara look down as tears welled up in her eyes. She turned off
the lights and closed the door to retire to the next room.
The children were soon coaxed into a deep sleep.
Willow left to take a shower. Right after she was done, the phone she left on the coffee table rang. Her brows furrowed when she saw Xavier's name on the caller 19, but she answered it anyway.
"I want to see you," Xavier said bluntly.
What do you think?
