My Heart only Beats for You (Natalie Godfrey)

Chapter 2354

On the phone, Madam Quartley scolded Tremaine and added, "If you care about me, you better make it back now."

There was silence on the other end of the phone.

She raised her voice again. "Did you hear what I said? I'm an old woman in my 80s! If you want your grandma to live longer, stop making me angry!" Only then did he say, TH be right back."

Although Madam Quartley got a reply from Tremaine, she did not know when he would come back. She thought about it and decided to find Rorita. She thought that Rorita would be sad for not seeing her husband by now. However, she did not expect Rorita to be in such a good state.

"Rorita, Tremaine is just busy with work. I hope you won't mind him." Madam Quartley said, "He just called me and said that he would come back soon. He was afraid that you would think too much, so he asked me to comfort you."

Rorita said in a gentle voice, "Madam Quartley, I

knew that he is no ordinary man. His priorities are all on Nashaland. I can understand that he would sometimes neglect his wife and family." Madam Quartley was extremely moved.

After chatting for a while, she left, saying that she wanted to go to bed. In fact, she went to wait for Tremaine in the living room.

She was afraid he was brushing her off and would not come home.

She had to see it for herself.

Later, he really came back.

She stepped forward and scolded him again.

Tremaine didn't say a word.

The old him would not be so obedient.

Although he was her grandson, he had his pride. Usually, they would get into an argument whenever she scolded him.

But since Yesseca left, Tremaine changed.

No matter how Madam Quartley scolded him, he wouldn't say a word.

Madam Quartley felt much better after lecturing him and seeing that Tremaine did not refute.

She softened her voice and said, "Go to Rorita now. It's your wedding night after all." "She is a good girl. You've done such a bad job, but she didn't complain at all. Instead, she spoke up for you. You should cherish such a good wife."

She then added, "Since you've married Rorita, you should sleep in the same bed with her. Don't think of going against me."

She specifically reminded him.

Speaking of this, there was a hint of pleading in Madam Quartley's voice. "After experiencing so many things, I'm tired. I don't want anything but you living a peaceful life with your wife. Grant me this wish, will you?"

Tremaine glanced at Madam Quartley and then said, "Okay."

He went straight to his shared- bedroom with Rorita.

Seeing him enter the bedroom, Madam Quartley finally let out a sigh of relief.

Rorita turned around when she heard the door open.

The man in front of her stunned her. However, she regained her senses quickly and stuffed the drawing paper into the drawer, blushing.

She felt like she was sitting on pins and needles.

She was afraid that Tremaine would ask her what she had just stuffed into the drawer.

Perhaps he would ask her to open the drawer and find out she was drawing him.

Rorita's face turned even redder.

However, Tremaine was not interested in her behavior at all.

He went straight to the sofa, then lay down and said, "I'll sleep on the sofa in the future... you can take the bed."

She was speechless.

She was stunned.

"But..." Before she could finish her sentence, she swallowed it back.

What was she going to say?

He had already told her that nothing would happen between them.

What was she still hopeful?

Did she think they would get intimate that night just because it was their wedding night? He did nothing wrong.

He was not letting her down because he had warned her before and she agreed to it.

Then, she couldn't complain.

"I'll sleep on the sofa. You sleep on the bed," Rorita said.

Tremaine ignored her and closed his eyes.

She hesitated for a moment, but in the end, she still went to bed and lay down.

She wanted to close her eyes, but she couldn't fall asleep no matter how hard she tried.

She could only look at the night sky and the lonely moon.

After staring out of the window for a long time, Rorita's gaze shifted back to the sofa.

Although the lights were off, she could vaguely make out the insides of the room using the moonlight.

She couldn't help but get up.

Although Tremaine's eyes were closed, he didn't fall asleep at all.

When Rorita got out of bed, he noticed her movements.

He heard footsteps coming towards him.

He was disgusted.

The reason he chose her was that he felt that she was docile.

He told her he could give her glory and fame, but she would have to behave herself.

But unexpectedly...

He would tell her off if she tried anything funny.

Then, he heard the sound of footsteps leaving.

He was stunned.

Did she just get up to cover him with a blanket?

And not for something else?

The next day.

After the wedding, Madam Quartley asked Tremaine and Rorita to have breakfast together.

Hearing Rorita's answer, Yuliana smirked in her heart.

It seems that they had spent a passionate night.

Although Tremaine was so infatuated with Yesseca, he was still a man.

How could he control himself when sleeping in the same room with another woman?

As she thought about it, an idea suddenly came to Yuliana's mind.

Zorion blurted out, "Everyone can sleep well. Why do you have to ask her about it, Madam Quartley?"

Madam Quartley smiled and glared at Zorion. "Zorion, don't ask if you don't understand."

Rorita lowered her head even more in embarrassment.
