Chapter 38
Chapter 38
As soon as Donald said that, the group of soldiers brought Charles and his subordinates away.
Morgan was sitting in the living room of the Walker Mansion with a solemn expression. The other people sitting in the room looked just as serious.
“Sir, we’re still unable to contact Mr. Charles. We can’t reach the people around him either,” said one of Morgan’s subordinates.
Morgan’s expression got increasingly sullen as he listened on. Charles would sometimes be unreachable in the past when he went on a mission, but the people around him would still be contactable..
They were suddenly out of reach at that moment, so Morgan just had a feeling that something was wrong.
“Morgan, could Charles be held up because something happened? Should we send someone to the Southern Division to ask?” Jonas asked with a somber expression. He felt something was off too.
Morgan had a long face as he gave it a thought. Then, he shook his head and said, “Forget it. Let’s leave Charles be for now and go on according to the original plan. I’d like to see what Liam is going to do to our family.”
He pondered for a moment before he looked at Jonas and said, “Have a few warriors go to Jade Manor at midnight to find out what’s going on. If they could save Trent, then do it. If they can’t rescue him, we’ll come up with another plan.”
Everyone looked even more somber at the mention of Trent. All four of his limbs were broken by Liam, and he was taken away. They had no idea how he was doing at that moment.

“Don’t worry, Morgan. I’ll get it arranged now,” said Jonas, leaving the living room in a hurry.
This would be a fight to the death between the Walkers and Liam.
After Liam and Celena returned to Jade Manor, Celena hid herself in the room, refusing to let anybody in.
Liam stayed at the door and talked to her from time to time. Although he was talking to himself most of the time, he still insisted on standing guard at the door.
He knew Celena had grown up being loved by Reginald, so she had a strong bond with him. She was kicked out of the family by Reginald, but she still believed he was her grandfather who loved her in the past.
However, Reginald’s harsh attitude toward her that day drastically differed from what she had imagined. She could not accept it.
Liam looked at the shut door with a gloomy expression and vowed in his mind, ‘Celena, don’t be sad. The Stones will beg on their knees for you to go back to them. I’ll definitely make them regret everything. they’ve done to you.’
Calum ran up the stairs excitedly and said, “Everything’s set, sir. The Igrargon has arrived at Drunham City. They are standing guard outside the city and are on standby. We’ve arranged for the Four Elders to stay next door. Young Master Cole is getting ready in Athenapolis.” Content from NôvelDr(a)ma.Org.
It had been a long time since the Pendragon Warriors had done something on such a large scale. The last time they had done so was when they fended off a troop a million strong at the border.
The Pendragon Warriors gained fame because of that battle. They became well-known all over the world, and all countries were stunned by them.
Liam nodded with satisfaction and had a twinkle in his eyes upon hearing that.
“How’s Trent?” Liam asked.
“Just as you’ve ordered, we had treated his wounds with our good medications. When that was done, we gave him a proper stabbing. He’s just a person who’s afraid of dying. He kept threatening us, but he would also beg for mercy because he was afraid of death,” Calum said with disdain.
They despised people like Trent the most as he was a reckless person who would bully the weak but feared the strong.
“Good. Keep it up,” Liam said coldly.
