Chapter 916
"Yes, sir."
The taxi driver slowly fastened his seat belt and started driving.
Zed looked outside from the window anxiously. Once he saw any luxurious car passed by, he drew the curtain and wiped the sweat on his head using the handkerchief Zoey gave him.
Zoey was worried too as she looked outside. After seeing that the car they were sitting in was heading ahead without any trouble, she felt relieved and asked Zed while pulling his arms, "Why did Patrick save us? I thought he hates us so much after you and Mary treated him like that."
Zed drew the curtain, took a glance at his wife, and said, "I don't understand either, who knows the reason behind. But thinking of Patrick has been stuck with Alice since they were young, maybe he saved us just to disgust William."
"Even if that put him into trouble?" Zoey was worried, "Is Patrick going to be safe?"
"Could you just stop? Do you really think we have time to worry about others when we cannot even protect ourselves now?"
Zed glared at Zoey fiercely, not allowing her to say another word.
Zoey sat beside him, feeling extremely anxious. She grabbed her bag tightly and did not speak anymore.
As they were talking, the taxi driver continued driving forward as he glanced at this couple from the rearview mirror. He lowered his cap, and an unnoticeable smile appeared on his face.
San Francisco.
Deep in the forest, a majestic imperial castle was standing under the sunlight. The water came out from the fountain as they were dancing with the nonstop music.
The bodyguards stood on both sides of the long and curving road, protecting the way back home for their hosts.
Alice sat in the car and lowered the window. She looked outside and noticed the number of the securities was more than doubled than that before. There were people installing some equipment along the road.
"What are they doing?"
Alice pointed to those people who were installing the machines.
"They are equipping the latest security system." William's answered behind Alice with his low and deep voice. Alice turned to him, "Isn't the security system at our home safe already?"
Another new security system.
And it has been installed everywhere.
"Those are already out of date, so we are replacing them with the newest ones." William pulled Alice into his arms, rubbed her shoulders, and looking at her with love, "You must be very tired after the long road trip, aren't you?"
Along the way, Alice even vomited once. It made William so annoyed that he scolded at the driver and fired him.
Alice smiled and shook her head, "No, I am fine."
"Does your stomach still sick?" William asked.
"I feel much better now." Alice looked at him, "Actually you do not have to fire the driver. It was not because he did not drive well but because I will feel sick if I ride for too long."
"I did not want to blame you, so the only way I could do was to fire him!" William said without any hesitation.
Alice looked at him speechlessly. It looked like William felt no regret at all. She felt sorry for the driver and hoped the driver could live a happy life after she gave him a generous severance fee.
William had Alice between his arms and put one hand on her belly while slowly rubbing it. His palm was so warm that Alice felt much more comfortable.
On their way back home, William would rub her belly every time she moved, because he knew she was not feeling well without Alice saying it.
He was treating her even better than before.
Alice held his hand, "Aren't you tired? We are already at home, and I am sure I will feel better after a walk."
"I am not tired." William moved his lips closer to Alice's ear and blew a warm breath. He lowered his voice, "You should take some rest so that I can have a good night on my bed."
Alice was speechless, "You know you are going to have a good sleep because our bed is larger. What does this have to do with me resting well?"
Hearing that, William blew into Alice's ear again, and his voice became even more sinister, "Do not pretend you know nothing. You know that I am not talking about the bed."
What matters was the person on the bed.
Alice's face immediately became hot. She looked at the driver, worrying that William's flirting words would be heard by others.
She glared at William, "I am not going to rest. I want to see the twins."
It felt like so many years had passed since they last saw each other.
"Fine."
William sounded disappointed. At the same time, the car stopped in front of the castle. The new driver got out of the car first and helped them open the door.
Daniel, who had a short and silver hair, was standing at the entrance leading other servants. They bowed to William and Alice respectfully, "Mr. Cullen, Mrs. Cullen, welcome back home."
"Daniel."
Alice walked down from the car. She was so happy to see Daniel that she extended her arms towards Daniel and wanted to give Daniel a hug. Before they could embrace each other, William pulled her back.
William stood in front of Alice with no expression on his face. He looked at Daniel with no emotion in his eyes.
Alice did not know what to say.
Daniel was used to William's attitude. He was a good butler, so he turned around, took the steamed towels from the servant, and gave them to William and Alice to wipe their hands.
"Mr. Gong, it must be a long trip. The chef has prepared some snacks. Do you want some?"
Daniel asked.
"Who would want to eat junk food?" William threw the towel back disdainfully to Daniel and took off his coats. Daniel took it, then opened a bottle water and gave it to William.
William took a few sips, and said coldly, "Collect all news recently and take them to the study room."
Daniel lowered his head, "They are already ready for you."
"Convey my words. The meeting will be held two hours later. I want to hear all the constructive statements. Those who give useless suggestions will be fired immediately." William said to Daniel, as he untied the cuff buckle s on his sleeves.
Alice understood that William was going to work when she stood there and listened to his words.
"Yes, Mr. Gong."
Daniel lowered his head again and handed another bottle of water to Alice.
"Thank you."
While
Alice was sitting in the car for this long, she did not
even
to eat or drink much
daret
because she was afraid that her net
stomach would feel sick. She so thirsty that she took a few sips and asked, "Where are Holy and Kathy?"
"They are taking the fencing lesson on the court."
Daniel answered.
"A fencing class? Do they need to take this course? "Alice was stunned. She did
not remember registering her twins for this class. Why would they take a fencing class when they were still little?
"It was Master Gong and Miss Gong who insisted on taking it. Not only are they taking the fencing class, but they also requested to attend martial arts and shooting lessons. Therefore, they are extremely busy. These courses were also approved by Mr. Gong." Daniel said?

Alice looked at William with confusion, "You approved it?"noveldrama
How could she never know about it?
William glanced at Alice and cleared his throat, "Parents should never erase the children's interest and natural instincts, do you understand?"
William said it with confidence.
But he never thought of things like this way before.
Alice looked at him suspiciously. William turned his head away, "Alright, I am going to the study room and do some work, and then I have to go out for a meeting. I will be back at around 7 o'clock tonight."
"Ok, I will prepare the dinner." Alice nodded, "I am going to the Twins now."
Alice was about to leave when she heard William say made a sound behind her unhappily. The next moment, she was pulled back by William, following with a soft kiss.
Alice looked at William's long eyelashes in front of her. Those eyelashes were so sexy that it shook her heart.
"You can go now."
William gave another kiss to her under the gaze of the crowd, then turned around
and left. Alice stood there and did not realize what happened.
Then, she saw Daniel and the servants chuckled.
Alice looked at them speechlessly.
Daniel smiled at her and said, "The relationship between you two is getting much
better."
Alice covered her face. She did not know what to say. The only thing she could do was left silently to the court with the chuckle behind her.
The sunshine in San Francisco was much gentler than that in her hometown. It
was so comfortable having the sunlight on her.
The wind blowing from the forest was also incomparably fresh.
This was probably the best place in San Francisco.
Alice walked forward as she realized the number of the bodyguards behind her
was increasing gradually. When she turned around, she saw ten bodyguards standing behind her.
Was it necessary? Even when she was at home?
This is San Francisco, which located in a safe country. Lancaster should not dare
to do any threat to them in this city, did he?
Alice looked at the bodyguards and thought for a moment. She decided not to ask
them to leave her alone. They were just following William's order, and this might not be a good time to go against William's will.
She continued to walk on the green grass until she reached the golf court. She could see from a distance that the bodyguards stood into a large triangle shape.
In the middle of the space, there were one adult and two children. The adult was the teacher. The two
children were both wearing white uniforms and large helmets. They
were gripping their swords as they followed the teacher's instructions to practice their attack of each other.
Alice stopped and looked at them in distance.
The two children were focused on their learning. The teacher kept praising them
and teaching their fencing techniques.
"Whoop!"
Alice heard Kathy's roar, then she saw Kathy point her sword towards Holy. Holy dodged to the side, thus Kathy fell directly onto the ground.
Holy quickly threw down his sword, took off his helmet, and rushed to Kathy.
"Kathy."
Alice was also worried and immediately walked over. Hearing Alice's voice, Holy looked up and saw her. His face was covered with sweat, and the surprise
emotion flashed inside his beautiful black eyes.
"Mom!"
Apparently, Kathy heard her voice too. She immediately got up instead of lying on
the ground and stamped her feet with excitement. She wanted to take off her helmets but failed.
"Let me take if off." The teacher at the side hurriedly stepped forward and helped
Kathy.
When the helmet was taken, Alice saw that Kathy was sweating as well. The two
of them were sweating so hard that their hair was wet. She frowned.
"Mom! You are back!"
Kathy was very excited when she saw Alice. She directly jumped into Alice's arms
and rubbed her head on Alice's chest, "Yes, mum is back!"
"Kathy, be careful."
Seeing Kathy was out of control, Holy pulled his sister back. He looked at Alice's
belly and frowned.
What do you think?
