My Mute Wife

Chapter 1 To Fulfill Your Will

In her wedding night, Lexie Mitchell sat on the edge of the bed, feeling bitterness in her heart.

When Edith Mitchell didn’t want to marry the disfigured oldest son of the Howard family, her father let her replace Edith to marry him.

Without a wedding, without guests, she was taken to the Howard family.

And she was disappointed in her family.

A push at the door interrupted her thoughts and she looked up to meet the man’s dark and sharp eyes.

–Alan Howard.

Her current husband.

He was talk and thin, pressing his lips, arrogant and domineering.

But on his handsome face, there was a scar that ran from his forehead to his chin, which made him look fierce.

At his sharp gaze, she subconsciously averted her gaze back.

Suddenly, he spoke with finality, “You’re not Edith.”

The woman in front of him was clearly more beautiful than Edith.

Lexie instinctively reached out and gestured towards him.

Alan frowned, “What are you doing?”

Lexie was flabbergasted for a moment, and only with hindsight did she realize that he couldn’t read her sign language, so she smiled awkwardly, took out the pen and paper she was carrying, and wrote down a paragraph for him to read.

The next second, the man’s eyes became icy cold.

He laughed out coldly, “What does Peter Mitchell mean? Knowing full well that the one I want is Edith, how dare he deliberately send a mute illegal daughter over?”

The words ‘a mute illegal daughter daughter’ caused Lexie’s breath to pause and slowly lowered her eyes.

Then, her chin was lifted by the man. Alan’s voice was as cold as winter water, “Your family thinks I’m so easy to fool?”

The hand in Lexie’s sleeve clenched tightly.

Would he be so angry that he would just kick her out?

What about her grandma’s treatment …

Lexie wanted to explain, but seeing the man’s cold eyes, she only felt her breath tighten.

At her dwindling gaze, Alan suddenly spoke, “Come here.”

Did he now agree her to stay?

Lexie was first happy, then she thought of what she was about to face, and slowly got nervous, and got sweat seeped out of her palms.

Seeing her hesitation, Alan thought she had backed off and spoke faintly, “Although your family displeases me, since you’ve married me, you have to fulfill the obligations belonging to a wife.”

Lexie bit her lower lip and tilted her face to the left after lying down flat.

A soft taunt came from his ears, “I was asking you to serve me in the shower.”

Hearing that, Lexie’s face instantly went blushed.

She sat up abruptly and saw the man coldly watching her.

Anger surfaced in Lexie’s eyes.

Was it fun to play her like this?

Alan narrowed his eyes slightly, his voice sullen: “What are you still doing frozen?”

She held back her emotions and slowly walked up to him, her fingers accidentally scraping his skin.

The man suddenly grabbed her wrist and closed in on her, “Did you do that on purpose?”

Lexie flinched and shook her head.

Those clean, clear eyes were as bewildered as they could be.

Alan stared at her, another pair of clean, bright eyes unknowingly appearing in his mind.

He thought of the Mitchell family the culprits who destroyed those eyes.

He sneered coldly, “I wasn’t going to do anything to you tonight, but you couldn’t stand the loneliness, I have to say yes.”Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g
