Chapter 25
Chapter 25
Regina and Daisy mocked Madison, which often happened during Madison’s three years of marriage.
In their eyes. Madison was nothing more than a servant. She should feel honored to be able to marry Neville.
Madison used to tolerate them out of her love for Neville. Now that she and Neville have separated, she didn’t need to curry favor with them
“I don’t think the Preston family lacks dogs. Instead, you lack two kennels. If you two can’t afford the kennels, I can offer them. Consider it my generosity,” said Madison.
Regina said angrily. “Madison, I am your former mother–in–law. Aren’t you afraid of ruining your reputation? If I tell others how terrible you are, who would dare to marry you in the future?”
Daisy echoed. “Exactly, a woman like you, who lost a man’s support, will probably end up with nothing. If you are obedient, my mother and I will introduce you to a few old men for the sake of the days you worked as a maid for the Preston family. After all, it’s impossible for a divorced woman to marry a rich and handsome man again.
Faced with the insults from Regina and Daisy, Madison remained composed. After three years, she had heard enough harsh
words.
Although Regina was not from a prestigious family, she should be cultured after being in the upper class for so many years. However, when she scolded Madison, her true colors of a commoner showed through.
Sometimes Madison admired herself. It was as if she had a magic power, making others reveal their true faces.
She smiled and said. “Did I do something that angered you?”
Regina felt triumphant and disdainful. She was delighted that she quickly subdued Madison. Her disdain came from the fact that no matter how Madison changed, she couldn’t get rid of her inherent weakness. Regina thought that Madison couldn’t wait to apologize after being scolded.
In Regina’s mind, Madison still wanted to return to the Preston family.
Thinking of this. Regina arrogantly said. “Stop dreaming. Madison. I agreed to Neville marrying you because you were willing to save him. But I didn’t expect you to be so hypocritical. You’re not worthy of Neville! Don’t dream about coming back!
Madison smiled sarcastically. “You’re overthinking. Even if Neville begged me to come back, I wouldn’t take a step into that house. After all, no one wants to fall into the same pit twice.”
Regina trembled with anger at hearing Madison’s sarcasm. How did I not realize that Madison was so eloquent before?” she thought.
couldn’t tolerate Madison insulting her mother like this and immediately chimed in, “Don’t overestimate yourself. You came to the Preston family today just to get more compensation, right? I’ll tell you, in these three years, you’ve enjoyed the luxuries and benefits of the Preston family. What we gave you is enough to offset any debt of gratitude. Don’t think you can leverage that to your advantage!”
Madison suddenly burst into laughter.
When she gave birth to her son, she almost lost her life. Two years later, she donated a kidney to Neville, and she was in a coma for three days and nights for the operation.
That was why the Preston family agreed to let her marry Neville. Originally, they wanted her to die so that she couldn’t get any benefits from the Preston family.
Unfortunately, she survived, but she had to take medication for the rest of her life.
But Madison didn’t expect that her sacrifice wouldn’t earn her any respect in the Preston family.
It was truly ironic.
Regina and Daisy were scared by her laughter.
“What… What the hell is wrong with you?” cursed Regina.
“Don’t get crazy here. Don’t cause trouble for the Preston family,” added Daisy.
Madison suddenly stopped laughing and blinked at them. “It seems I’ve startled both of you. How about 1 perform a talent show as an apology?”
Regina and Daisy were baffled by her words. They looked at each other, not understanding what she meant.
Madison picked up the ashtray from the table and fiercely threw it at the expensive porcelain vases next to the stairs.
The pair of porcelain vases instantly turned into fragments.
In the past, Madison treated Regina as her mother–in–law and respected her. Knowing that Regina had a hobby of collecting porcelain, Madison deliberately had someone manipulate the auction, and Regina bid for it at a price of 700 thousand dollars. But the real value of this pair of porcelain vases was 16 million dollars. Now, they had soared to 30 million dollars.
This incident made Regina famous, and she loved to show off the vases. Almost every time she attended an auction, she would boast about her achievements. Even when friends and relatives visited, Regina would place the porcelain vases in the most conspicuous place.
Now that Madison had divorced Neville, she would destroy what she had once given Regina.
Looking at the fragments scattered on the ground, Regina turned pale instantly and almost fainted, but Daisy supported her
in time.
“Madison, do you know the value of the porcelain vases? It’s 30 million dollars!” RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only
Madison tilted her head and smiled. “I know.”
Then how dare you smash them?”
Madison kicked the pieces on the ground and said indifferently, “In these three years, I’ve been cooking, cleaning the rooms, and washing underwear for you two. Isn’t that worth 30 million dollars?”
Daisy was pissed off. “You’re talking nonsense! Hiring a maid will cost at most 20 thousand dollars a year. Moreover, it was you who begged my brother to marry you. You’re willing to serve us. Why should we give you money?”
*Madison knew that the Preston family would take her hard work for granted.
Madison smiled cunningly. “If you think it’s unfair, you can sue me. Tell the whole world that Neville hasn’t been a bachelor since three years ago.
Daisy was instantly silent, as she knew Regina had a plan.
Regina never appeared publicly with Madison. She only brought Madison to the family gatherings because she wanted to keep Neville’s marriage hidden. After their divorce, Neville could still be seen as a single man and could marry a wealthy- lady.
Madison knew her plan, so the deliberately provoked them.
For a while, Regina and Daisy dared not say anything.
After a while, Regina said, “Get her out of here!”
Madison calmly walked upstairs and said, “Don’t worry, once I’ve taken what belongs to me, I’ll leave on my own.”
Daisy, realizing something, immediately rushed in front of her. “You can’t take anything with you!”
Madison narrowed her eyes. I remember you have many valuable items. Should I go up and smash them?”
Daisy was frightened by the coldness in Madison’s eyes and dared not stop her..
Regina pulled her back and stared at Madison going upstairs. She said hatefully, “Call your brother and ask him to come back quickly!”
Regina believed that once Neville came back, Madison would be timid and not dare to be arrogant.
