Chapter 1003 They Finally Met

Chapter 1003 They Finally Met

"That's where he comes in handy," Julien commented on Hunter.

Zach pushed his glasses up. "Mr. Cohen will probably get cross if he knows that you belittle him."

"Am I afraid of him?" Julien narrowed his eyes.

Zach quickly waved his hand. "No, no, no. Mr. Flint, you misunderstood me. I didn't mean that."

"If not, shut up," Julien ordered with a frown.

Zach shrugged his shoulders, performed an act of zipping his mouth, and stopped talking.

In the suite, Neil moved swiftly to the audio-visual room. Without knocking on the door, he pushed it open and entered.

The audio-visual room was dark. Only the screen was shining where a musical was playing. Content is © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.

It was a black-and-white musical movie filmed in the last century, and its frightening sound came from the acoustics, making the entire audio-visual room a scary place.

Dallin, in a long traditional suit, sat on the single sofa right opposite the screen and watched the musical. He shook his head and fingers languidly, enjoying the musical.

Neil walked toward Dallin. While walking, he took a glance at the screen and then looked around the dark room.

Even though he usually saw such scenes, he couldn't help shivering with fear at this moment.

Well, he was not afraid of anything except specters.

The audio-visual room was very dark. Coupled with the horrible sound from the musical, Neil felt more terrified.

Neil plucked up the courage to stop in front of Dallin. He lowered his head and said to Dallin respectfully, "Mr. Sullivan."

Dallin stopped shaking his head and fingers. The next second, he slowly turned to look at Neil and narrowed his eyes with displeasure. Dallin was noticeably angry about Neil interrupting him while he was watching the musical.

Dallin raised the wine and took a sip of it to suppress his anger. Then he asked in a deep voice, "What’s up?"

Although Dallin had held back his anger, Neil could still sense his displeasure. Neil lowered his head lower and replied, "Mr. Sullivan, well… Julien has come here."

Dallin stopped shaking the red wine glass and stared up at Neil. "What did you say? Julien has come here?"

"Yes." Neil nodded. "Julien is outside the door right now. He asked to see you with his assistant."

At Neil’s words, Dallin tightened his hold on the glass in his hand and did not speak. After quite a while, he queried, "Did Julien tell you why he wanted to meet me?"

Dallin and Julien had the same idea that they would meet someday.

But it shouldn't be now, because it was not the occasion for their meeting and both of them hadn't made ready.

So, after staying in Port City for so many days, Dallin was not surprised to find that Julien didn’t mean to meet him even if Julien knew that he was in the city.

But unexpectedly, Julien asked to meet him right now.

This was really beyond his expectations.

Dallin aimed the remote control at the screen and paused the movie.

Afterward, he stood up, took the dragon cane from Neil, squeezed it, and asked again, "Did Julien tell you why he suddenly wanted to meet me?"

Neil shook his head. "No, he didn't. Though I asked him the reason, he didn't tell me. He even..."

While Neil was saying these words, a trace of anger appeared on his face.

Dallin noticed it and narrowed his eyes. "He even what?"

"I’m sorry, Mr. Sullivan." Neil made an apology and continued right away, "He is not polite at all. It’s he who asked to meet you. But he is very arrogant. He even threatened me by saying that if I didn't ask you to meet him at once, he would force his way in. How haughty and rude Julien is!"

After listening to Neil’s words, Dallin wasn’t annoyed though his face was dark. He sneered, "There is no need to become angry. This is the reality. The status and family background of me and Julien is not equal. Whether it is in Port City or Jackal City, I should go to visit him, not the other way around. But now he comes to meet me. If he doesn't behave arrogantly to daunt me, doesn't it mean that he is afraid of me? Don't feel offended. If I were him, I would do the same thing."

"Yes, Mr. Sullivan," Neil responded and then kept silent.

Dallin rubbed the dragon head of his cane. "Perhaps Julien comes here not for the feud between me and him."

"Do you mean that he comes here for Sydney?" Neil looked at him.

Dallin replied, "Very probably. Considering the feud between me and Julien, we shouldn’t meet at present because he has not found anything yet. If I were him, I would definitely meet the enemy and declare war after collecting some evidence."

"But what if Julien doesn't come for Sydney and has gotten some evidence?" Neil was slightly worried.

Dallin looked at him coolly. "If he had been able to get the evidence, he would have gathered it a long time ago. He isn’t suspicious even now. Do you understand?"

Seeing Dallin's cold stare, Neil lowered his head in fear and hurriedly responded, "Yes. I understand."

"Don’t consider Julien more powerful than me. I don't want to hear such words from you again," Dallin warned Neil coldly.

Neil nodded repeatedly, "Yes, Mr. Sullivan."

Only then did Dallin withdraw his gaze. He uttered, "I’m confident that Julien hasn’t gotten the evidence, so he comes to me at this juncture only probably for Sydney. Don't forget Sydney hasn’t solved the problem with the parts, and today is the last day. If she can't solve it, she will plunge into trouble. Although I talked to her on the phone last night and she said she had a solution, the person we sent to watch her didn't tell us anything about her solution. So, her so-called solution should be Julien.

“And Julien has come today." Neil ultimately came to a realization. "It really makes sense. Julien cares much about Sydney."

"Not necessarily so." Dallin rubbed his cane. "Though Julien helps Sydney handle the problem, it doesn't mean that he cares much about her. After all, Sydney is his woman. It is unlikely for him to

turn a blind eye to her when she is in trouble. Moreover, tackling the problem is just a piece of cake for him. Thus, even if Julien doesn't love Sydney very much, he can’t stand by. Otherwise, people will despise him as a terrible man."

"Yes. If a problem is so thorny that Julien can't deal with it, but he still perseveres in solving it, then he really cares about Sydney,” Neil analyzed.

Dallin rubbed his temples. "Well, let's not talk about it now. Let's go. Since Julien and his assistant have come, we should meet them. Otherwise, it will be a humiliation to me if they break in. And others will also laugh at me if the news spreads."

"Yes, Mr. Sullivan," Neil responded and then followed him out of the audio-visual room.

Dallin sat on the sofa in the room, with his legs apart, his cane between his legs, and his hands on the cane. He lowered his head, deep in thought.

Neil went to open the door.
