Chapter 432
After speaking, Olivia, wearing a pair of stiletto heels, raised her foot and delivered a sudden, vicious kick to Wendy.
Her heel landed squarely in Wendy's stomach, knocking her to the ground. Pain shot through Wendy's side where the shoe struck, and a dirty footprint marred her blouse.
Wendy gritted her teeth and fought through the pain.noveldrama
"Miss Olivia, I was just passing by over there. You suddenly stepped in front of me. That's why... your dress got dirty by accident," Wendy managed, her voice trembling.
Standing off to the side, Sally smirked, her lips curling with amusement. "Don't you know? The mistress is never wrong. Olivia, it seems your staff could use some serious training."
Wendy drew a slow, steadying breath. She was not their plaything.
"Then let me clean your dress for you," Wendy offered quietly.
Leda scoffed, her tone dripping with contempt. "Clean it? These gowns are worn once and tossed. Besides, Olivia's dress cost nearly a hundred and twenty thousand-selling you wouldn't even cover it."
Olivia strutted over, looking down at Wendy from atop her heels. She picked up a glass of cocktail from the table, swirling it idly. "Honestly, what kind of housekeeper hires staff like you?"
As she spoke, Olivia raised the glass and slowly positioned it above Wendy's head, ready to pour the drink over her.
But suddenly, a hand clamped down on Olivia's wrist, stopping her cold.
Olivia looked up and saw Isadora standing before her, eyes icy and unyielding.
Without hesitation, Isadora wrenched Olivia's arm away, sending her stumbling backward. Olivia lost her grip on the cocktail, splashing the sticky yellow drink all over her own powder-blue gown. Stains bloomed across the skirt in a messy, humiliating pattern.
Fury flared in Olivia's eyes. She snarled, "How dare you interfere when I'm disciplining my own maid?!"
Isadora ignored her, bending to help Wendy up. "I'll pay for the dress. All one hundred and twenty thousand."
A cold, mocking laugh escaped Olivia. "Everyone knows you're only swimming in cash because you latched onto Mr. Fitzgerald. Taking money from a gold-digging tramp like you makes me sick!"
The words rang out, sharp and unmistakable.
Around them, the other debutantes and society wives exchanged glances, their eyes filling with disdain as whispers rippled through the crowd.
Nearby, the woman in the violet gown edged away, clearly uncomfortable, and made her way toward the door to find help. She had no intention of getting sucked into this jealous mess.
Behind Isadora's back, tongues wagged, questioning whether she was really good enough for Mr. Victor Fitzgerald. To her face, though, they'd fawn and flatter her, desperate to stay on her good side.
As Isadora stood silent, Olivia grew more emboldened. "Women like you-shameless, always seducing men and using a baby to claw your way up God knows what kind of misery your child will suffer, born to a mother as twisted as you"
Smack!
The sharp crack of a slap brought the room to a stunned halt.
A glint of cold fury flashed in Isadora's eyes as she delivered a stinging slap across Olivia's cheek, putting every ounce of strength into it. She would never let anyone insult her child.
A red handprint bloomed on Olivia's face. For a moment, she was too stunned to move, her expression a mix of disbelief and outrage. "You hit me?! How dare you

Isadora's hand swung again, even harder this time.

"If you insist on dragging down your own guests and humiliating them at your own party, then I'll do your grandfather's job and teach you a lesson myself. At least one of us should save you from making a complete fool of yourself!"
Olivia's face burned with pain, tears

Clutching her swollen cheek, she spat, voice ice-cold, "What are you all waiting for? Hold her down! I don't
