Chapter 17 Outshining Everyone
Jessica met Matilda as soon as she walked into the lobby of Claus Hotel.
“Jessica, just savor this view. You wouldn’t be able to enter this hotel by yourself. You really got to thank Juliette.”
Matilda acted condescending and sneered at Jessica.
“This hotel should have a billboard and specifically note that no livestock is allowed inside. Whose donkey just entered the hotel?”
Jessica answered in surprise and shook her head with resignation.
“You…”
While Matilda was just about to fight back, her eyes were attracted by Jessica’s dress which was the newest fall collection of a brand.
“What is wrong with your dress? You wouldn’t be able to buy it even if one has money. It only has five dresses in this world. Why do you have it?”
Matilda loved all the designs of this brand, but the designer was quite peculiar and only issued five dresses for every design, so it was even hard for royals to bury one.
It was every woman’s dream to have one.
The Jenkins was quite rich and cannot even purchase one.
But now, a girl coming from a barbaric place was dressed in it, so she was really shocked.
Jessica certainly knew that this dress would cost a lot. Matilda must be pissed off and pass out if she told her that she had a closet full of dresses from this brand.
Lucian bought all the items for her, so she didn’t really feel the need to show off.
“Are you this eager to know? Well, I don’t want to tell you.”
Seeing that Matilda was quite jealous, Jessica cracked a smile.
“It must be fake! You moron!”
Matilda was experiencing a roller-coaster emotion right now.
She was disgusted by Jessica but envied her figure and face.
Standing near Jessica, she wanted to rip her dress and actually did it.
The dress instantly got a rip on it.
“What are you doing?”
Jessica got fierce and glared at Matilda.
“I don’t know what are you talking about. Who can prove that I rip your clothes? Do you have any witnesses?”
Matilda said cockily.
Before Matilda can even realize it, Jessica approached her and snatched her dress, too.
“Jessica, are you crazy?”
Matilda was livid with anger and really didn’t expect Jessica to pay her back.
“Nobody would be mad with an animal but would just give it a lesson, so it would learn to behave.”
Jessica cracked a smile. She was definitely not a punch bag.
Matilda was fuming and was irritated as she was outshined by a girl from nowhere.
“What happened to your dress, Jessica? Well, there are a lot of dresses that Juliette prepared in the lounge and you can choose one.”
Aminah came out of a corner and met Jessica and said hurriedly.
Jessica walked into the restroom and saw all kinds of radiant dresses.
“Miss. Armstrong, this one is the newest and can match with your vibe.”
The maid recommended smilingly.
Jessica checked the dress that was beaded with Swarovski diamonds which was well suited for this occasion.
“It’s not my style. I will just have this one.”
Jessica scanned around and landed her eyes on a dress.
“Well, believe me, Miss Armstrong. This dress would look amazing on you. You should really choose this one.”
The main was quite anxious seeing that Jessica didn’t listen to her.
“It’s just a dress. Why do I have to wear this one? Why are you so hasty?”
Jessica turned to the maid.
The maid dodged her eyes. This Miss. Armstrong might seem undisturbed, but she can really see right through her.
“I’m certainly not. You just thought too much. You look gorgeous and I think you would look even more attractive in this dress. I’m just doing this for you.”
The maid grinned and clenched her hands together.
“Okay then, since you said so, I would just have this one. Wait outside. I got to change.”
Jessica answered.
It cost Kevin an arm and a leg to throw this party and invited a great number of socialites and many enterprise owners. The room was quite merry.
“Mommy, tell me, did Jessica take that dress?”
Juliette was the star of the party and people just revolved around her. She walked to her mother and suppressed her voice.
“Rest assured. She is in that dress.”
Aminah looked at Juliette affectionately and answered.
“Great! That bastard framed us and we got to teach her a lesson! It’s a shame that she wasted that amazing dress though.”
“Didn’t you hear that revenge is a dish best served cold? After that Jessica is destroyed, I will buy any dresses you want.”
Aminah consoled her daughter.
“I know that mommy is the best.”
Juliette was pleased and hugged Aminah.
“Okay, get prepared. She is about to come downstairs.”
“Juliette, I heard that you have one of the five dresses in the world? Change into it and let us have a look.”
Juliette went back to the room and some socialites immediately encircled her.
“Right, change into it. It must be amazing.”
“We are dying to see it!”
“Okay, I will change into it right now.”
Juliette covered her mouth and smiled.
“Hey, check it out. Jessica is here.”
Matilda grabbed Juliette’s arm and motioned.
Jessica was in that dress which represented fine craftsmanship and really shaped her figure well.
She looked like a goddess.
The room that was quite bustling before immediately got quite and stared at Jessica. All content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
Juliette was really mad inside. Though she set this trap, she was beyond jealous inside and just wanted to rip Jessica apart.
