No Escape from Love

"Who's behind all of this?" I crossed my arms over my chest, trying to appear as confident as possible. "Like I said, I want to know the mastermind behind all this. I don't need your apology."

Kevin gritted his teeth before he pointed at Elena and said, "It's her. She paid me to edit the photo."

Elene was startled. Her face instantly turned pale as she vehemently denied it, "You're making a baseless accusation here!"

Tears started to well up in her eyes. She then turned to look at me, "Serena, I know you've never liked me, but why are you teaming up with him to frame me like this?"

I raised an eyebrow. How did this become my plot to slander her? I was just turning the tables.

However, I had plenty of ways to prove my innocence.

I turned my head slightly and looked at Kevin with a faint smile. "Kevin, Elena is claiming that I'm trying to frame her now. She's basically saying that you're lying. I won't let this slide if you can't provide any evidence to prove that you aren't lying."

I waved the phone in my hand.

Without the slightest hesitation, Kevin said with some resentment, "Ms. Harper, you're the one pulling the strings behind all of this. Now, you want me to shoulder all the blame? I'm sorry, but I won't be your scapegoat."noveldrama

With that, he suddenly took out his phone and displayed a transaction record. "Here. This is the payment she sent me before I even started working at the coffee shop. She paid me to do this."

I reached out to grab the phone, but Julian beat me to it. He snatched the phone right out of Kevin's hand.

"Elena, isn't this you?" Julian looked at Elena with an expression of disbelief.

Elena's face turned completely pale in an instant.

"Why?" Julian asked with an expression of disappointment and sorrow.

"I..." Elena's eyes darted to Julian in a panic. But when she looked at me, her eyes were full of hatred and malice.

I sneered inwardly.

So, it was my fault for not letting her frame me?

"Julian." Elena looked at Julian pitifully, reaching out to tug at his arm. "I was just so afraid of losing you. That's why I did it."

"Serena, I didn't mean any harm by this. Please forgive me." Kevin was suddenly much more polite after he was exposed.

On one side, Elena was tearfully pleading with Julian. On the other side, Kevin was desperately seeking my forgiveness. I didn't want to deal with either party anymore, so turned around to head back to my dorm room.

Today was clearly an unlucky day. If I had checked my horoscope before leaving

the house, it would probably have said that.
