No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric)

Noelle looked up at him. She had spoken without thinking.

Cedric felt his heart skip a beat.

His Adam's apple bobbed as he said, "Kiddo, don't promise to take responsibility for men. Words like this should come from men.

Noelle realized that what she'd said had been appropriate, as though she had been hinting at something.

She looked down anxiously and said, "Don't misunderstand me. I didn't mean anything by that. You're my friend. I can't let you get dragged into this because of me."

"Yeah, I understand."

Cedric looked up and asked, "What do you plan to do?"

"I want to talk to Justin myself."

"Let's go."

Noelle watched him walk over and ran after him. "You don't have to go. I'm fine on my own."

If Cedric went, Justin would give him a bad time. She didn't want him to suffer. "Noelle, wait for me."

Frank caught up with Noelle. He hadn't expected Noelle to leave in a cab. Her stubbornness forced him to go after her.

When he saw Cedric standing in front of Noelle, he said coldly, "You've come. You're quite brave."

He thought Cedric would cower away and not come.

Noelle said with a frown, "Frank, I've told you this has nothing to do with him. Why are you doing this?"

"Noelle, I'm doing this for your sake."

Noelle was done with their self-confidence.

She walked into the lift.

Cedric followed her. He felt bad for her and said, "It's not a complicated issue. Don't get yourself worked up over this."

Frank looked down on Cedric. Although he might've been skilled and was filled with bravado, he was nothing before the Parsons.

Cedric said calmly, "There's no need to fight them. It can be settled with words alone."

Frank thought this was a good opportunity for Noelle to see that Cedric was a nobody whose only skill was showing off.

Noelle took a deep breath and walked out of the elevator. She looked back at Cedric and said, "Wait for me out here."

Cedric studied her expression and offered, "I can go in with you."

Justin knew who he was.

He didn't want to see Noelle so worked up about this to the point where he was willing to risk exposing his identity.

When she pushed the door open, she heard Xenia's surprised question. "What? You're not planning to take legal action against them?
