Chapter 698
"Do you remember who it was?" Dustin persisted, pressing for an answer.
"I just hope Mr. Smith recovers soon. Life's a bit dull without his daily updates," I joked, quickly ending the call.
Dustin entered the room, placing flowers on my desk, and fixated on my face. "Haven't seen you this happy in a long time." "It's Mr. Smith, he got into a spat with his girlfriend and was just venting to me," I lied, using Grant as a convenient excuse.
"It wasn't about his little trip to the club, was it?" Dustin asked casually. "I saw him there."
My heart skipped a beat. If Dustin saw Grant, and Grant had seen Deborah, did that mean Dustin saw Deborah too? And the person Deborah feared I'd always suspected it was Dustin.
"Seems like all you guys love those kinds of places," I teased him.
Dustin shrugged it off. "I was there on business."
"Mr. Smith said the same, but his girlfriend didn't believe him and caused a scene," I said, picking up the flowers he brought and smelling them. They were fragrant.
"I heard you had a rough time at Sapphire Lounge. Why didn't you call me?" Dustin's words sent a chill down my spine.
He orchestrated it, yet here he was, acting concerned.
If it weren't for Phipps playing me that recording, I would never have believed it.
His face was so earnest, easily deceptive.
He played his role, and I played along, knowing it wasn't time to expose him yet. "I handled it myself, so I didn't want to bother you."
I chuckled, "I gave the guy a piece of my mind, left him bloody."
Dustin frowned slightly, "Next time, just call me. Don't take matters into your own hands. Those guys are tough, what if you got hurt?"
"If I did get hurt, Dustin would want their life, wouldn't you?" I smiled.

But to gather evidence on Dustin and the Clark family's crimes, I had to endure this revulsion.
Grant had mentioned seeing Deborah at Sapphire Lounge on the phone. Was he mistaken, or was Deborah really back?
I was about to call her when I heard Dustin's voice outside, "Felicia, are you alright?"NôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.
He had followed me after all. I put away my phone, turned on the tap, and after a moment, stepped out of the bathroom.
Dustin, looking concerned, reached out to steady me. "If you're not feeling well, we should head to the hospital."
I shook my head, "It's nothing, probably just caught a chill sleeping on the couch last night."
"Catching a chill is no small matter, we should still check it out," Dustin insisted.
I looked at him, "Dustin thinks I'm pregnant, doesn't he?"
Ernest had jumped to the same conclusion once.
Sometimes men can be overly sensitive and jump to conclusions about these things.
Dustin's expression froze slightly, "Felicia, I'm just worried about you."
