Chapter 1234 Duke's Evolution
Chapter 1234 Duke's Evolution
Duke's primeval aura was going haywire. His huge body was littered with horrible scars.
His strength now was no match for Pollard's. Duke only reached the middle-level of the Star God
Realm, but Pollard had reached the top level of the Star God Realm.
"Sir, I'm afraid that Duke will die if we don't help him soon."
"I agree, sir. Please send him help."
Upon seeing Duke's condition, the others couldn't help but be worried about him.
"Lindsay, bring them out," Darren said decisively.
"Alright. But you should be careful too. Pollard has finally gone crazy." Nodding her head, Lindsay sent
a message to Carlisle and his companions.
A few moments later, Carlisle and two other people appeared.
"Sir, let's sneak behind Pollard and attack him then. We'll surely wound him with one blow,"
Darren said after briefly explaining Duke's situation to the newcomers.
"Very well. We'll do our best. Let's go."
With that, Darren and the others concealed their aura and slowly approached the battlefield.
Meanwhile, Duke roared furiously.
He hurled his huge body towards Pollard.
Pollard's strength had increased by more than thirty percent because of using a special belligerence
skill. This had pushed him to the peak of his power.
However, this special belligerence skill wouldn't last long. As soon as his bloodline burnt out, he would
die.
As the battle between the two raged on, Darren and the others had reached the edge of the battlefield.
"Kill!"
Darren shouted. He was first as they rushed in. Soon, he was overtaken by three people. They now
stood in front of him to protect him.
The earth shook as several god's powers were unleashed. All of them directed straight towards Pollard.
These were followed by loud explosions.
"What?"
Pollard was fuming. He turned around. His blood red belligerence surged around him.
"Duke, attack him with all your might!"
Darren yelled at Duke with his spiritual sense.
The distraction gave Duke the opportunity to launch his attack on Pollard while the latter was too
focused on Darren and his companions.
Duke roared violently.
His huge body fell, releasing great pressure.
Since Pollard was attacked front and rear, he had no choice but to use his right hand to punch Duke.
The impact echoed loudly.
The god's power had broken Pollard's arm as soon as he had hit Duke. Meanwhile, his punch had left a
huge hole on Duke's abdomen. Original content from NôvelDrama.Org.
While Pollard's attention was distracted by Duke, Darren and his companions had a chance to attack.
Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!
"Kill him at close range!"
They dashed towards their target.
Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!
Together, the blade and sword intents, black god's power and the dark gold god's power rained down
upon Pollard.
Carlisle and his companions unleashed their god's powers as well. They combined them with fiend
power to make their attacks even more powerful.
Bombarded with so many attacks, Pollard knew he couldn't avoid his fate. He had no choice but to bear
the brunt of it.
He howled.
His blood red belligerence formed a protective shield around him.
The god's powers exploded as soon as they hit his shield.
All powers, including Darren's dark gold god's power, were blocked.
All except Darren's black god's power.
It was so powerful that it had successfully penetrated Pollard's defense.
Even though it was quite powerful, ninety percent of the black god's power passed through it.
Pollard was shocked upon sensing the black god's power. He didn't have time to dodge it so he braced
himself for the impact.
The blast had left holes in Pollard's body. One could even see his beating heart clearly.
"Damn it!"
His body twitched and trembled as he felt his life slipping from his grasp.
"Ancestor, I have given my life to our clan. Farewell!"
Blood red light shot up into the sky. Pollard's body, in turn, had turned into a dazzling, scarlet sun.
"Oh no! He's going to blow himself up!"
Carlisle and his companions stepped forward. All of them were determined to protect Darren and help
him escape from the incoming blast.
"Everyone, retreat!"
Darren yelled at his companions.
Upon seeing Darren and his companions about to run away, Pollard immediately swooped down on
Duke. After all, this strange creature was the culprit for his defeat.
Duke, on the other hand, was seriously injured. With his current condition, he couldn't escape at all. He
couldn't even put up a fight as Pollard seized him.
Bang!
The mighty explosion had vaporized everything within ten-kilometer radius. Mountains crumbled. The
air was filled with sand and stone. It obscured the entire blue sky.
"It's over. Duke is dead."
Darren and his companions had managed to escape the deadly blast. However, they weren't able to
save Duke. They only watched him turn into a blood mist during the explosion.
"Alas, what a pity." Carlisle sighed. Duke's potential was wasted. If he was given enough time, he could
have at least reached the upper-level of the Celestial God Realm. With his Primeval Bloodline, he
might even reach the top level. It was a pity that his life was cut short.
After a long time, the dust began to settle in the battlefield.
There was a huge, scarlet pit at the center. It seemed to be a thousand meters deep with a span of a
dozen kilometers.
Darren and the others flew closer to examine it with their god's sense.
They couldn't sense any aura of life in the huge pit.
"Alas! Duke is really dead." Wilson sighed.
"Wait." Lindsay, who was still probing the pit, had sensed something strange. "Darren, can you feel the
dragon aura?"
"Dragon?"
Puzzled, Darren immediately unleashed his dragon blood aura to investigate.
"I see what you mean now. But how could there be a dragon aura?" He could sense faint traces of
dragon aura from the pit, but this was different from a normal dragon aura.
"Princess Lindsay, please let me out." Just then, a voice that sounded old reached Lindsay's ears.
"Otis?" She was slightly surprised upon hearing that familiar voice. It was from the old fiend, Otis.
It was then that Otis appeared. He seemed to be excited about something.
"The ancient snake had transformed into a dragon! I can feel it!"
Otis walked towards the pit and squatted down beside it to examine it closely.
Darren and the others followed him. Upon looking down, they saw an egg covered with strange
patterns on its shell. It sat quietly and innocently on the soil.
"What is it, Otis?" Darren asked.
"Ha-ha. If all go well, you might harvest a Primeval Python Dragon."
"What do you mean?" Darren asked, confused.
"Do you not know? Your believer, who has the Primeval Bloodline, is not dead. In fact, he is going to
evolve soon."
"What?" Darren was delighted to hear the news, but he couldn't help but ask, "What's a Primeval
Python Dragon? Is it powerful?"
"Of course it's powerful. The Primeval Python Dragon is the highest form of the primeval snake race.
When it grows up, it will be more powerful than a superior god. It might even defeat a deputy god!" Otis
explained.
"Wow! That's great," Wilson exclaimed excitedly.
"You're truly blessed, sir. Duke didn't die this time. What's more, he has even evolved," Jefferson said,
smiling.
Darren nodded slowly. "I don't care about being blessed. I'm just glad that he is alive," he said.
"You are truly kind, sir."
With that, Darren and the others decided to wait a few days for the egg to hatch. After ten days had
passed, the egg shook minutely until the shell began to crack and shatter.
A little head poked out of the broken egg. It looked at the world with curious eyes.
"Duke, do you recognize us?" Darren couldn't contain his happiness upon seeing Duke come back to
life.
"Master," the newborn dragon-shaped Duke called out. His voice sounded childish and small.
"Ha-ha." Everyone smiled in delight.
"Oh, so cute! Such a lovely snake. Now, come here and let me hug you!" Lindsay couldn't contain
herself upon seeing Duke's new appearance. She found it adorable.
