Omega Princess

Chapter 24

First, we tucked Katie away in my room under the bed. I gave her a kitchen knife dipped in wolfsbane. This content is © NôvelDrama.Org.

"Take this in case. Do not cut yourself as it is dipped in wolfsbane." Katie nodded, crying. I know she could feel the deaths of the pack. "Do not come out to anyone other than the Brown's, me, or Vincent. I love you!" I told her, putting on my bravest face. She clung to me and begged me not to go, but I had no choice. After all, this war was for me. We sprinted over many bodies of wolves, both rogues and the Dark Moon. Soon we were in the middle of it. Fighting the rogues that attacked us. I saw Alpha Alex take down a large grey rogue. Just then, Alex's body goes limp.

I turn and a warlock is staring, muttering some spell. I attacked him from behind, snapping his neck. Alex returns to his paws, looks at me and takes off to attack more rogues.

There are wolves fighting everywhere. It looks like half the Dark moon pack is near the Violet moon border fighting these rogues. I can still feel dark magic being used. I have not been able to locate the source. The wolves will not survive on their own. I must locate the power.

I dodged two wolves fighting and pulled a rogue off a young wolf. The scent of blood is so strong in the thick dawn air I can taste the copper metal. I shake a weak rogue from my back and sprint. I promised Vincent I wouldn't engage, but I must at least make it a fair fight.

"Maybe we could just sneak in, get Katie, and leave for Violet Moon?" Sasha states as we make it for higher ground to locate the magic. As we run, we see heavy losses on both sides. We reached the top of a hill quickly.

"I can't let all these people die. They were my pack. I was the daughter of their original Alpha. I am Alpha blood." I responded.

"They let you down your whole life. You are not their Alpha," Sasha said.

"I don't care, I will no longer shut up and take it. I am tired of it. I am of Alpha blood and witch power runs in my veins. I am still not sure if that makes me a royal, but this Omega is ready to fight," I replied.

"I know. I am proud of you." Sasha took over and ran the rest of the way up the hill.

I could see Dane and Alex fighting. Even Adrian was out fighting for his pack.

So much blood was being spilled and for what? Power or me. "Sasha there. They had pinned one of the younger omegas to the ground." We rushed over knocking the rogue to the ground. He growled and lunged at me. I shifted faster than I had before and touched him, putting him into a deep sleep.

All the training allowed me more control of both my wolf and my powers. I started to reach out with my mind. I could feel the wolves as they were taking their last breath. It was too much to maintain. I focused on the wind and caused a strong wind to knock those around me off their feet.

"Filli, you need to shift back. I am drifting." Sasha cried. I quickly did that. We continued to fight like a wolf. I tore into the shoulder of a dirty brown rogue. She had just killed a pack member. Sasha and I were strong fighters. It came naturally.

The fighting continued when, finally, I spotted the witch. I took off running. She turned towards me right as a grey wolf came and slammed into my side. She quickly threw him off and into a tree, killing him. My father wanted me alive, I thought.

The witch switched from him, and I started to burn from the inside. It felt like wolfsbane was running through my body. She walked toward me. "You must be Fillian. Your father has been looking for you. He has risked many lives to bring you to him. I don't know why, when I could just give him a new child. All he needed was a dark witch."

My father may have wanted me alive, but this witch sure did want me dead. I writhed in pain on the ground as she continued to move closer. For a moment I thought she might kill me. As my wolf, I could do nothing to stop it.

Suddenly the pain stopped, my body was just bound and motionless. I could see a large black and brown wolf making his way over. That must be my father. He was large enough to be an Alpha. He was taking down any wolf that stood in his path. She had seen he was coming and switched her plan.

I didn't know what he wanted from me. If my uncle was right, I would not be better off with him. I had to shift it was the only way. "Filli, we can't. There are too many, I will not be able to return."

"I know, but if we don't, we will all die." She knew I couldn't let the whole pack die no matter how they treated me. I saw Alex fighting with three larger wolves. He was going to fail. All the other wolves around me were also being overpowered.

With my father getting closer with every wolf, he killed. I could not wait. I shifted. I must have been a sight standing there naked. With mud and blood caking my white hair and body. The corpses of all those that had fallen all around my feet. I knew my eyes were already glowing purple. "Sasha, I love you. I will do whatever it is to bring you back."

"I know you will, I love you too." With that she was gone. The wind was quickly moving, and the witch was taking a few steps back from me. I raised up off the ground not sure if it was the wind or power. I began to mentally reach out to the rogues one by one, killing them. Letting them go peacefully with no pain was all I could do. I didn't want to kill them, but there was no stopping them.

I found a few rogues that wanted out. I just put him into a deep sleep. Alex could deal with them when this was over.

Suddenly, I felt the witch pulling at me. She was powerful. I could not fight her and continue helping the wolves. I was reaching a limit. I knew if I crossed there might be no return. I had to do it. This is the path I chose. I let the witch enter in as I continue to gather groups of wolves now 10 at a time. The witch was using black magic to drain my powers. I was getting so tired. I reach out one last time, knowing the witch will completely drain me once I release this, my last bit of magic. I found a group of 30 wolves and pushed all of them into their endless sleep.

"I'm sorry," I whispered. As I blacked out, a large black wolf came through the line, he bit the head of the witch and relief flooded in me. My body fell to the ground as Violet Moon came to our rescue. Seeing the new pack and all their witches/warlocks dead, and a large number of the rogues dead or unconscious, my father and the rest of the rogues began to retreat.

It was that moment I closed my eyes to rest.
