Cathy walked up to Demetrio, as he placed his palms on his face and had the most scary look ever.

” I’m so worried about her, I don’t want anything to happen to my baby .” He muttered, as tears rolled down his eyes.

Cathy was motionless, she had never seen Demetrio cry.

A man was crying in front of her and she couldn’t do anything, she could only watch him. She prayed silently that Rhea come back safe because she could only wonder how Demetrio would be if something eventually happened to her.

Axl was in one corner, he sat on a chair and thought deeply, everything was going out roughly for him. First his father and next Dementrio ‘s girlfriend. It was surely a cursed day for him.

As a nurse who was holding a surgical tray passed by he quickly grabbed a knife without thinking and cut his wrist.

It happened so fast that no one had the chance to save him.

” Axl…” Cindy screamed as she rushed to him.

Everyone’s attention was on him, Demetrio and Cathy rushed to him. Immediately, the nurse ordered for a stretcher.

” What happened to him?” Cathy asked, worried and shocked at the same time.

” I don’t know Cathy, I was just there when he suddenly used the knife to cut his wrist. It was so fast.”

” What’s going on today?”Nelly asked in despair. She looked tired and frustrated.

“Please , Dementrio help him out. I really don’t want him to die.”

Dementrio looked at Axl, no matter what had happened he didn’t want Axl to die. He carried him up and took him into one of the wards where he was to be treated.

As always the doctor sent all of them out as he started his treatment.

Just as they came out, another doctor walked up to them.

” You can now see the patient?”

They were all confused,

This wasn’t the doctor who was treating Rhea or Axl so who was he talking about.

” Which patient are you talking about?”” I mean the man you brought…” he said pointing at Nelly and Cindy.

That was when they rembereed Mr. Anderson.

” Please where is he?”

Nelly led the way and the others followed except Cindy and Dementrio who wanted to wait till the doctors were done with Rhea.

Cathy understood and followed Nelly to see Mr. Anderson. He was awake when they entered.

“Father…” Cathy rushed to hug him, they might have their personal differences but it was clear they loved each other, as a father and a daughter.

” Is she with you?” He asked, his voice was shaking but she could understand what he said.

” Who is she father? It’s just me and Nelly. Tell me what happened to you.”

” The doctor said I suffered a minor attack.”

” Thank goodness you are alright.”

” You look so pale, what happened to you?” He asked as he touched her neck and clavicle. It dawned on her, he wasn’t informed about her kidnapped.

He must have been in the hospital the whole time, she thought.

” I’m fine father, but you should stop worrying about me and think of yourself. You’re in the hospital.”

” Where’s Axl?” He asked.

Nelly wanted to say something but Cathy stopped her.

” He’s fine father…he just stepped out to get something.” She lied.

She felt bad for lieing but there was no way she could tell him, his son tried to kill himself a few minutes ago. That was enough to give him another heart attack.

” Cathy…” he called.

” Father…” she answered, praying silently not to bring out the topic about Axl.

” Your twin sister is still alive. I saw her today it wasn’t her ghost.” He started and began laughing in an irritable manner.

Cathy was taken aback by this behavior but couldn’t say anything.

” Your father…Mr. Chester took everything from me. I had to take everything from him.” He exposed.

Nelly who was finding the conversation earlier annoying began to listen as it touched sensitive matters safe wanted to know more about.

” Who killed my mum, tell me the truth.” Nelly asked as she tried to strangle him, but Cathy controlled her.

” Control yourself, Nelly. What do you think you’re trying to do?”

” Kill the monster who took everything away from me.” She began to sob loudly.

Cathy was confused on who to console first, was it Mr. Anderson or Nelly.

” Your mother knew everything, she knew about my marriage with Mr. Chester’s wife and that was why she got everything she had.” He coughed and Cathy handed him a glass of water which he refused.

She didn’t know why she was being so kind to him even after everything he did to her , maybe because he had saved her from death that day.

She knew the truth, her mum had been married to Mr. Anderson, she had left him on the altar and had married Mr. Chester for the money. He understood how heartbreaking he felt but she could never judge him, especially after the love Mr. Anderson had showed her.

He lived her even more than Axl his real son.

” Father…don’t talk anymore. Rest and I will send for dinner.”sfe advised and kissed him on the forehead before leaving the room grabbing Nelly with her.

” Why did you stop me…you know he was about to expose himself.”

” Nelly you have to calm down, I agree I love Mr. Anderson and might be blinded by his kindness. If there are evidence against him then he can go to jail but I won’t let you take a life. You’re the only family I have ”

” You don’t know how angry I am.”

” Control your anger while I ask him what’s he’s going to eat.”

Nelly waited outside while Cathy entered back inside the ward, Beliy was restless as she thought if different ways to hurt Mr. Anderson for killing her mother.

While she paced around the room, she heard a loud scream from Inside. It was Cathy’s voice.
