Chapter 228 Blanca’s Sadness

Matthew never finished what he was about to say, so Blanca had to find out. On her way to the Empire

group, she kept thinking about how she should start the conversation, however, she saw someone

familiar as soon as she arrived.

“Matthew, let’s go have dinner together tonight.” Malinda was smiling at Matthew, with her eyes full of

gentleness.

She came shopping here this afternoon. And she remembered that Matthew’s office was nearby, so

she just came to say hello. She stayed at Matthew’s office until after lunch break - All she wanted was

a chance to spend some time with Matthew alone.

Matthew didn’t seem quite willing to though, “Thank you, but I am good. My driver will take you home.”

“Come on, Matthew!”

Seeing Matthew was already a few steps ahead of herself, Malinda felt a bit sad; However, her

sadness didn’t last long. She called on him and ran toward him, almost begging, “My grandfather told

you to look after me. And now you don’t even want to have dinner with me?”

It was rush hours and they were surrounded by the Empire group staff. To spare the employees

witnessing more of the scene, Matthew glanced at Malinda and agreed.

Malinda was immediately lighted up. She held Matthew’s arm closely, “Let’s go. I heard there was a

new restaurant opened nearby with great recommendations...”

Matthew wanted to pull out his arm naturally, however, Malinda was holding on to him too tightly so he

failed. He didn’t think too much about this as he always saw Malinda as a younger sister.

But Blanca witnessed all of it.

“Check that out! I heard that the lady was a young madam of the Roach family. She was Mr. Grant’s

childhood sweetheart...”

“I know, right? Miss Louise was interning at the company earlier and I saw Miss Louise and Miss Roach

hanging out together. Miss Roach and Chairman Grant seem like a perfect match.”

“Hey, that’s nonsense - Mr. Grant is married...”

Several women in professional suits passed by Blanca. Blanca had just seen Malinda and Matthew and

she turned her back to them, fearing they would recognize her. And now at this moment, she heard

such words.

Blanca felt a little awkward in her heart.

Matthew should really be with some ladylike Malinda Roach.

Isabel just got off work. Where else would she be then?

“Blanca, what’s the matter with you? Hahaha...” Isabel burst into laughter. She stopped in front of

Blanca, “Are you here for Mr. Chairman?”

“No, I am not.”

“Well, then you are here...”

“Isabel, have you got any plans? If you don’t, mind if I buy you dinner?” Blanca smiled. Finally, Blanca

had a chance to express her gratitude towards Isabel over dinner after Isabel had helped her so much

back at the company.

Isabel nodded. She was about to say something to Blanca but seeing Blanca seemed to have a bad

mood, she swallowed those words back.
