4. Lies And Reminiscing
4. Lies And Reminiscing
Quensilla's POV
In the library, I go over some of the things I might be studying for history in law since that will most likely be my weakness. I haven't seen Theodore for the whole day and I am proud to say that the universe may just be blessing my soul.
I hear a familiar laugh from another table and find Ocean chuckling about with a group of boys. I decided that I didn't want him to see me so I quickly stand but end up throwing down the table, chair, books, my bag, I broke a flower vase and not to mention I had unbuttoned my pants earlier to free the cute belly pudge I had. It wasn't huge, but it wasn't exactly tiny either. It was just right. All eyes turn to me and I quickly button and zip up, blushing bright red. Even the librarian didn't know what to say as I slowly bent to pick up my bag.
I chuckled nervously as carefully step over the class muttering an "oopsie" before running out. Once outside I started laughing really hard.
For what?
I don't even know.
I sat on the library entrance step as the students walk past and look at me like I've lost it.
"You okay?" My head snaps around and I find Ocean.
"Who me?" Of course you, you idiot! "Oh right. Yes. Yes, I am."
"Okay." He smiles sitting next to him and I stare at him awkwardly.
He was so beautiful.
"Do I have something on my face?" He asked confused and I looked away blushing.
Yes. Adorableness.
"Hey, you wanna go out for coffee?" I change the topic and he grins.
"Is it a date?"
"No." I raise an eyebrow and he winks.
"I'll be there."
"Right." I giggle rolling my eyes and I stand stretching my hand. He takes it and I lead him, enjoying the feel of someone's hand on mine. I just can't help but think that Theodore's hand would feel bett-
Hey! Watch it!
Right. What am I saying?
I finally find a coffee shop and turn to Ocean who was looking at me with amusement.
"You dragged me all around the land, not knowing where you were going." He chuckles as we enter the cafe and I giggle.
Stop that!
"So?" I smile and he shakes his head.
"I just want a chocolate chip cookie," I tell him hungrily eyeing the pastries.
"Alright sweetheart, let's step away from the glass." He jokes and I smack his arm lightly. "Isn't that your boyfriend?"
"Boyfriend?" I raise an eyebrow at him before turning to where he was pointing to find Theodore and some brunette. NôvelD(ram)a.ôrg owns this content.
I felt a very unwanted feeling surge through me but I pushed it way under.
"He's definitely not my boyfriend."
"Foreal?" His eyes lit up but I ignored it.
"Yup. I despise him." I inform matter-of-factly and Ocean grins.
"Interesting."
Our turns were up and Ocean bought me ten chocolate chip cookies. I grinned happily at him before practically running to our seat.
He chuckles and calls me adorable before sitting next to me.
Over the next thirty minutes, I completely forget about Theodore as Ocean tries to stuff napkins in my mouth.
"So, school starts soon, what're you studying?"
"Law and sociology. "
"Ahh, you want to be a social worker?"
"Yup."
"I want to be a lawyer."
"Ew." I joke and he fakes offense.
"How dare you. " He gasps and I break out laughing. "What about your family? Where are they?"
I feel my body grow hot and my heart rate speeds up.
Should I tell him?
I don't know girl you on your own!
Why, thanks mind.
"They're good, everyone's in uh, Ohio."
"Oh cool." He grins and I nod weakly.
"It's getting late. I should head home." He frowns slightly before nodding.
"Let me walk you." We both head out and I notice that Theodore wasn't there anymore, but his brunette was and she looked furious as she glared at me.
Me?
I raise an eyebrow while passing her before we need out and stroll home.
"I had a nice time with you," Ocean speaks up and I smile shyly.
"I had a nice time too."
Reaching my dorm, I stare at him.
"We should do it again. You have my number." I nod at him as he leans and pecks my cheek his soft lips lingering there for a while. I clasp my both hands in front of me and I was probably as red as a tomato.
"Okay," I mutter and he slightly caresses my red cheek before smiling and leaving. Flustered, I head inside to find a shirtless Theodore with clenched teeth and a sad Xbox which was feeling the extent of his anger.
"Girl trouble?" I mutter teasingly and he doesn't acknowledge me. Well then.
Laying on my bed, I watch in silence as he plays C.O.D.
I take this time to admire his features. He was well built, a little buffer than Ocean with jet black hair that was shaved at the sides. The top wasn't that long but it fitted him. He had a white chocolate color and brown sharp eyes. He had truly grown from when I last saw him.
I dealt with him in high school, now I have to deal with him in college. I took a year before I went to college I don't think that's enough for one person to change all their ways hence the reason I don't trust him.
I don't want to forgive him.
I have to.
But just not right now.
It hurts every time I have to be near him knowing what he's done. Knowing that he ruined my whole life and right now I can't surpass that.
