Chapter 756
Standing in the circle the teacher had marked out beforehand, Brad watched as Nadine approached him with a fiery glare. He couldn't help but smirk, a hint of pride lighting up his face.
"Ms. Scott, you're the one asking me for help right now. Mind your tone," Brad said.
Couldn't Nadine soften her tone a little when asking for help? Other women would just act a bit coy to solve the problem, but she had to act like she was going to war. Couldn't she just show a bit of sweetness?
Nadine was infuriated by Brad. She was about to hurl a retort at him when she noticed the crowd around them and Sean waiting eagerly behind them for a win.
Nadine swallowed her anger and forced a stiff smile at Brad, gritting her words out between her teeth. "Fine. Consider me asking you for help." She kept her voice low enough for only the two of them to hear. Her face flushed red as soon as she finished speaking.
Seeing how cooperative Nadine was, Brad initially thought of making her suffer a bit more. But the blush on her face made him abandon the idea instantly. Forget just bending down-he'd give her anything she wanted at that moment.
"Good girl. Come closer to me." Brad reached out, grabbing Nadine's arms gently. He bent his knees, tilted his chin, and moved his face toward her neck.
Though their faces were turned away from each other, their skin still touched inevitably as he took the orange. Her cheek brushed against his chin, and they remained in close contact for a good half-minute.
The early spring weather was still cool. Even with the sunshine, the breeze was still chilly. But all Nadine felt was a searing warmth on the side of her face. It was as if she'd been splashed with hot water.
The fresh, clean scent of Brad flooded Nadine's senses, spreading throughout her heart like wild vines. Something inside her clicked open, and memories of their intimate moments in bed surged forth.
The warmth on Nadine's face seemed to grow. It spread from her chin and sank deep into her heart. She couldn't help but tremble slightly.
While Nadine was lost in thought, Brad remained composed. With the orange firmly pinched between his neck and chin, he steadily walked toward the table. He then carefully dropped the orange into the bowl.
The orange bounced a couple of times, rolled around, then settled quietly.
Sean jumped up in excitement, shouting, "Wow! Dad, you're amazing! We did it!"
After setting the orange down, Brad
walked back to the circle. He
glanced at the dazed Nadine,
grinned, and pointed to the spot on his chin where her skin had touched his. He gave her a thumbs-up saying, "Not bad."
The comment held a double meaning.
Brad had a pair of soulful eyes that seemed to look at everyone with deep affection. He hadnoveldrama

almond-shaped eyes with double eyelids deep-set sockets, and very dark irises. When he looked at Nadine, there was profound emotion behind them.
That look made Nadine's heart race. The skin on her chin where he'd touched her still felt warm.
Like a startled rabbit, she hurriedly ran back to her position in the relay. She clutched her thumping chest as she let out a long sigh of relief.
Nadine then gave herself a pep talk, reminding herself that Brad looked at everyone with that intense gaze-including animals. It had nothing to do with her. She shouldn't be fooled by appearances.
It took her half a minute to calm herself down. By then, Sean had already brought the orange back over.
Nadine quickly crouched down, accepted the orange, and headed back toward Brad once more.
What do you think?
