Chapter 1369
Chapter 1369
There was no one else other than her.
Finally, in the afternoon, some people finally entered the room.
They were all women, wearing basic tank tops and shorts, revealing their long legs, as they returned to each of their beds.
Anne’s presence was invisible to them.
They were wearing the same robotic emotionless expression on their faces.
As soon as they got back, they climbed into their beds and dozed off.
Anne did not know what was going on. She found it creepy and wanted to leave.
However, when she opened the door, two guns were immediately pointed at her head, as though warning her that she would be shot if she took one more step forward.
“Get the f*ck inside. If you come out again, I will pull the trigger!” A buff man with tattoos on his arms said. His arms were thicker than her waist.
He could definitely knock her out with just a punch and, of course, easily with the gun.
Anne backed away and immediately closed the door.
She distanced herself from the door.
She looked up and saw a familiar painting on the wall.
She thought they resembled the tattoo on Lilian.
Anne turned around and noticed that all women had a complex circular pattern printed on their arms, like some kind of symbol.
“Are you trying to escape?”
Anne was shocked. She turned and saw a woman who was not asleep. She was sitting on the bed watching her, and her expression was distant.
“You should give up.”
“Where am I?” Anne asked.
“This is a deserted island.”
“Why are you here?” Anne asked.
The woman looked at her. “We are all abducted here, and I think you must be too. However, you look like you don’t know anything.”
“They said I am here to replace Lilian. Do you know Lilian?”
The woman looked at her, surprised. She sized her up. Anne looked innocent, naive, and weak, like a
flower that had just budded and had not experienced any weather. She could not fathom why she was abducted here.
Anne somehow felt that this woman despised her.
Why was she being looked down upon for?
“This is the headquarters of the assassins. Lilian was the only one that lived from the last batch of assassins. In our current batch, there will also be only one person who could live.”
Anne roughly understood the model of the organization. It seemed that they aimed to produce the best assassin.
There will always be someone better than you.
This was a cruel system. The price to pay was the lives.
Anne was shocked, and her face went pale.
Why was she abducted by such an organization? What was her talent to be captured here? She found it to be unbelievable!

They must be kidding.
She thought she looked more like the first one to die!
Just solely because… she killed Lilian?
The woman had already laid down.
Anne still said politely, “Thank you for telling me.”
The woman did not respond and still kept her back facing her.
Anne climbed into the bed and lay down. The woman’s bed was next to hers. She looked cold and distant, but she guessed she was not a bad person.
Otherwise, why would she tell her where she was?
Anne did not know when she had fallen asleep. Suddenly, some cracking noises were heard, and everyone sprang up from their beds.
Someone even pulled out their swords, ready to attack.
