Chapter 1379
Chapter 1379
“Ah! Ugh! Ah. She choked on the water and tried to turn her face away
“Wash your damn face!” Corentin grabbed her collar and forced her to hold still
“Umph! Ugh! Ashlynn could not fight Corentin or move at all
The water was splashed onto her face, scrolling down her neck and onto her clothes.
The thin fabric of her white shirt outlined the curves of her body, and the look in Corentin’s eyes darkened as his eyes trailed down her neck.
Sensing that his grip on her collar was loosening, she shoved him away and fell backward, coughing and
panting.
She felt as though the water had filled her stomach. It was almost as terrifying as ancient torturing methods.
Corentin stood before her and narrowed his eyes. “You should be clean now If this happens again, I’m going flay you alive”
Ashlynn was not cold but was shivering like a leaf in a storm.
Corentin was a psychopath!
He crouched down in front of her. “Or should I show your videos to Jeremy instead?”
“Corentin Lloyd!” she screamed and paled in fear.
Pleased with her reaction, he said, “I’m just kidding.” He caressed her cheek and shot her a half-smile. “I would never let anyone see your body. Also, you are not to see the Hiltons ever again from tomorrow onward.”
“I’m Beth’s adopted daughter now. Can’t I even have the freedom to see them? I need a family, too”
“I’m the only one that you need.” He stood and warned, “Don’t try to disobey. I’m going inside the house to wreak havoc the next time you go there again.” He then turned to leave.
Ashlynn sat on the ground dazedly and thought to herself, ‘So I can’t go there anymore? Whatever, I guess. that’s fine It’s not like I’m really Beth’s daughter, anyway. That kind of luck is just not for me.
She stood up and took off her clothes to shower since she was already drenched.
When she came out, she saw her phone on the nightstand, likely delivered by Corentin himself or the
maids.
She sat down on the bed and noticed a message from Jeremy Instead of replying, she deleted the All content © N/.ôvel/Dr/ama.Org.
message right away.
She appreciated the Hiltons’ kindness, but she could not risk angering a madman for their sake.
Ashlynn lay in bed as she went through her contact list, noticing the few calls she had made to Anne.
Anne had not picked up at all.
What happened to the triplets had been all over the news, so Ashlynn knew about it as well.
She could not reach Anne, and Corentin refused to let her travel to Luton, saying that it was dangerous; she tried to ask about it, but he simply told her to stay out of whatever was happening in Luton.
‘But why?’ she thought.
