Chapter 140 Apply the Ointment
Chapter 140 Apply the Ointment
"Be careful, then!" Lucien gently puts down Nina and kisses her on her lips.
Nina finds that Lucien would generally allow her as long as she was coquettish and pleading with
Lucien. It seems that Lucien is not so hard to deal with. She used to be too stupid to only contradict
him.
There is a gym at the end of the hallway where Sunny lives. Nina pushes Lucien to the gym and says,
"Just wait me over there. I would like to talk to Sunny alone, please!"
Since her suicide but failed last time, Sunny has hated Lucien to the core. She is afraid that Sunny will
be able to get everyone galling by saying something excessively.
"What? Is it embarrassing to take me to your friends?" Lucien is angry with clouded face as Nina keeps
driving him away.
In the past, Nina would have a fight with him. Now she has learned a lesson. She gently pulls Lucien's
arm and whispers, "Lucien, I did not mean it that way. It is just too sudden to scare Sunny. Do not be so
cruel!"
Her big watery eyes blink with innocent.
Lucien does like this way. He bends over and squeezes her face, "All right, get in. I will wait for you
over there."
Nina knocks. When Sunny opens the door and sees that it is Nina, she puts her mind at ease, and
says, "Nina, where were you last night? I have been looking for you everywhere!"
Sunny's eyes are red. Apparently she just cried.
Nina feels so bad that she grabs Sunny's arm and says, "I am so sorry, Sunny! Last night... Well, I..."
Nina really does not know what to tell Sunny.
"Were you with Lucien last night?" Sunny speaks out for her.
"Yes." Nina, worrying about Sunny's displeasure, looks up into her eyes and says, "Sunny, well, I am
with Lucien."
Unexpectedly, Sunny is not angry. She just looking at Nina seriously, "Nina, are you sure you want to
be with Lucien? I don't think he is your Mr. Right."
"Well, I promised him I would try dating with him for a month. You don't have to worry about me, Sunny.
I will take care of it." Nina does not want stick at this matter with Sunny, so she changes the topic,
"What is wrong with your eyes? Did you just cry? "
Sunny did cry in her room until Nina arrived.
She thinks she is being cheated. Peter Johnson did not take her seriously at all. It was just for fun. It Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDrâ/ma.O(r)g!
was ridiculous that she even took it seriously.
Sunny feels embarrassed and hesitates to tell Nina about her relationship with Peter Johnson.
Seeing Sunny is silent, Nina thought Sunny was crying because she was worried about her, so she is
moved to say, "Sunny, you must be worried because you couldn't find me. I am so sorry...In the future I
will tell you where I am going in time. Sunny, I am sorry..."
Seeing Nina saying that, Sunny thinks it's not good to talk about Peter Johnson anymore.
Forget it. Just consider it as a sex dream. That was then. She is 22 years old anyway, and it's time to
not be a virgin!
Sunny manages a smile and says, "I'm glad that you are fine, Nina."
Just then, Sunny's phone rings. She shivers in her heart. Is it Peter Johnson? She jumps on it and
picks it up, "Hello?"
"This is housekeeper. A gentleman asked me to send you an emerald necklace." A woman says
politely.
"Oh?" Sunny touches her neck, and sure enough that she find the emerald necklace on her neck was
missing. It must have fallen in Peter Johnson's room last night.
But why did not he bring it in person but ask a room attendant to give it to her?
He just did not want to see her again? Sunny's face turns pale with pain, as if a knife slowly cuts her
heart.
"Sunny, what is wrong with you?" asks Nina, concerned about Sunny.
"Oh, I am not feeling well. It is all right. Just lie down and I'll be fine." Sunny is really not in the mood to
talk to Nina right now.
Looking at Sunny's pale face and thinking that Lucien is still waiting for her, Nina politely says, "Then
take a good rest, Sunny. I have to leave. I will come over later and invite you to have lunch."
"Ok." Sunny nods thoughtfully. And she starts to be misted in her eyes. She bites her lips so hard that
she could not cry in front of Nina.
Nina did not notice Sunny's abnormality, difficultly steps and tries to make her walk look less awkward,
but the sore between her legs is more intense and she could not help frowning.
Lucien has been running in the gym for a while, feeling feverish, and sees Nina trudging along from a
long way.
He runs off the treadmill and runs to Nina, picks her up and says, "Did you tell Sunny?"
"Yes." Nina struggles in his arms, looking around in case anyone else sees them so sticky.
