Chapter 16

Chapter 16

Chapter 16 Why Living with such a man?

Anaya said coldly, “It‘s none of your business.”

“It is. You and I haven‘t divorced yet. If you sleep with someone else, you are cheating on me!” Joshua said with a

gloomy face.

“Cheating?” Anaya laughed. “Joshua, you were the one who gave me to someone else last night.

“Even if I slept with him, you made this happen.”

With that, Anaya did not look at him anymore and bypassed him into the office building.

Joshua didn‘t get an answer from lier. He was increasingly gloomy.

As long as he thought that Anaya might have slept with another man, he felt that he couldn‘t breathe.

When he returned to the company, Joshua immediately asked Alex to check the surveillance cameras in the Sunrise Hotel corridor.

Hearst carried Anaya into the room last night and soon came out. It was not until this morning that he re–entered in order to deliver breakfast to

Anaya.

In other words, Hearst did not take advantage of her, and Anaya didn‘t have sex with him.

But even so, the pain in Joshua‘s heart could not disappear no matter what.

He had been brooding over what Hearst had said last night.

Hearst said that before Anaya divorced, he would not touch her. This belongs © NôvelDra/ma.Org.

But what about after the divorce?

At that time, they were both single, and they might go out with each other...

The image of Anaya nestled in someone else‘s arms appeared in Joshua‘s mind, and he suddenly felt flustered.

He kept feeling that he would never be able to have her again.

Just as he was feeling frustrated, Robin called.

“Joshua, Bryant is back from the neighboring city. Shall we have a drink tonight?”

Bryant, Joshua, and Robin were friends who had grown up together.

Among the three, Robin had the best temperament, cheerful and approachable.

Bryant was similar to Joshua. They were both proud and arrogant.

The difference was that compared to Joshua, Bryant was more ruthless. If he could eliminate the roots, he wouldn‘t show any, mercy. His ruthless style caused many enemies.

He was ruthless toward outsiders, but he was sincere toward his friends. Otherwise, with his personality, he probably wouldn‘t even have a friend.

Joshua had no other arrangements at night, so he agreed,

At night, Joshua drove to Night Pub.

Just after Joshua opened the door to the private room, a figure was kicked out from his side and smashed onto the iron fence, causing it to change shape.

Joshua glanced at the person who had been kicked out. His calm eyes turned to the room and happened to see Bryant withdrawing his leg.

There were a few women in the private room who seemed to be frightened by Bryant’s actions. They huddled together and trembled uncontrollably.

Bryant’s expression was heavy. He seemed to want to continue teaching that person a lesson. Robin hurriedly stopped him. “Forget it, forget it. He just secretly took a sip of wine. It’s not a big deal. Just change another bottle.”

Bryant didn’t continue to pester him, and only said, “Lowly dirty thing.”

He was obviously scolding the waiter who had just been kicked out.

When the person in charge of Night Pub heard about the matter, he quickly came over to apologize and promised to compensate with two bottles of the best wine in the store. This matter could be considered as flipping over.

Joshua sat down beside Bryant. “You went to look for someone in Princeton. Did you find him?”

At the mention of this matter, Bryant, who had been cold, became even more depressed. He poured a cup of wine and drank it all in one gulp.

“No.”

Joshua was silent for a moment before saying, “Have you ever thought that she might have been dead?”

If it was someone else asking this question, Bryant would definitely turn hostile.

But the relationship between Joshua and him was different from others, so he did not feel offended.

“Impossible.” He drank another glass of wine, “If I said that she was not dead, she must be alive.”

He was in a bad mood and kept drinking.

Joshua drank with him.

Robin watched from the side and noticed something.

“Joshua, did you quarrel with Anaya?”

Joshua drank a few cups and was slightly tipsy. He told them about Anaya’s matter.

After listening, Robin slammed the table and stood up. He gnashed his teeth and said, “If I were Anaya, I would definitely get someone to beat you hard.”

Then Robin sat back on the chair. “Have you thought of how to apologize to her?” he asked.

“I’m about to divorce her. Why should I apologize?” Joshua frowned.

“These are two things. You should apologize for what you did wrong. You should be glad that the man didn’t touch Anaya last night. If he did, your marriage is completely over!”

“I originally wanted to divorce her. Even if they had sex, it was none of my business.”

Moreover, Anaya said that he was unworthy of being a husband.

Was he the one who begged her to marry him?

He had made it clear from the start that he would not care about her. She knew it well, but still married him.

He didn’t want to be her man in the first place, so why did she say that about him today?

Robin sneered, “If you really don‘t mind, why are you drinking so much? If you really want to divorce her, why have you delayed it for such a long time?

“Is it so difficult to admit that you like Anaya? Anaya likes you and can‘t leave you, yet you take advantage of that and keep annoying her. If you don‘t wake up to reality, when Anaya takes a fancy to someone, you will cry.”

“The person in my heart is Lexie,” Joshua disagreed with him..

“Why are you so obsessed with Lexie? I don‘t think you like hier much,” Robin said.

Robin was Joshua‘s childhood friend. He basically know everything about Joshua and Anaya.

In middle school, Joshua and Anaya had a pretty good relationship. As an outsider, Robin thought that Joshua had some feelings toward Anaya.

Anaya was such an ardent pursuer, and Robin thought that Joshua would go out with her sooner or later. He did not expect that during the summer vacation before university, Joshua‘s attitude toward Anaya suddenly changed, and he was very disgusted with her.

When the second year ended, Joshua suddenly told everyone that Lexic was his girlfriend, and they had been dating for more than two years.

The time they started dating happened to be during that summer vacation.

Robin‘s intuition told him that something unknown must have happened during that special period.

Hehad asked Joshua about it before, but Joshua had never told him.

Sure enough, this time, Joshua did not answer directly.

“I like her, whatever you think.”

Robin was helpless. “Alright, alright. Everyone has their own little secrets. I don‘t need to know. But this time, it was your fault. I advise that you go

and apologize to Anaya...”

“I was right. I won‘t apologize.”

In this life, he only gave in to two women. One was Cecilia, and the other was Lexie.

Anaya didn‘t deserve his apology.

Even if he was wrong, he would never apologize to her.

Robin gnashed his teeth and said, “I really want to bring you to the City Hall for Anaya!”

What was the benefit of living with such a man?

It was time to divorce!

Joshua ignored him and continued to drink with Bryant, looking like he wouldn‘t stop until he was drunk.

In the end, only Robin was sober.

He cursed “bastards” in bis heart, and took out his phone to call Anaya.

“Ana ... Anaya, Joshua is drunk. Can you come and pick him up?”

Robin was worried that calling Anaya in that tone would make Anaya disgusted, so he immediately changed his tone.

“Can‘t you send him back?”

“There‘s another drunkard here. I have to send him home.”

Anave had no intention of agreeing. Robin kept asking Anaya for a favor, and she finally agreed.

“Wait for twenty minutes.”

Robin hurriedly said, “Okay, okay. Thank you!”

He waited for more than ten minutes before the door to the private room was pushed open.

The one who came was not Anaya, but Lexic.
